WORKS GREAT AND NO PROBLEMS , REALLY COOLS THE ROOM GREAT

My daughters bedroom was too hot at college house. She wasnt able to sleep well. It is an old house and though the AC is new it can't keep up cooling the house during the incredible heat wave we have had. This AC was easy to install and has done the trick. She loves it and she sleeps so much better now. Not very loud either.

It's not a bad setup, especially if you can get it on sale. It has to work hard to keep a medium size room cooled. It seems well built, and I never had to empty the reservoir, which was great. Good solution for a hot room that doesn't received good AC from the main unit, for example.

The connection between the hose and unit causes a lot of the hot air that was just taken out of circulation to leak out and go back into the unit causing more in-efficiencies. The hose simply drops into a bracket of the unit and the air gap is enough alot of hot air to leak. This is a design flaw, not a defective unit. I've had to tape and insulate the hose to prevent leaks for a small improvement. I have to hope that the weather doesn't reach 90 degrees (F) otherwise I'd be sweating as the unit is unable to keep up. It's in a small room as a replacement to a window unit with 2000 less BTU and I'm very disappointed. If the outside temperature is 80 or less, it'll work but I've never had the unit cool the room to the lowest temperature setting of 62 degrees after running it for more than 18 hours continuously.
