Works great! Cooled down my bedroom when my ac went out.

We use to supplement our central ac in an an usually warm room. Works perfectly, and in fact think it helped reduce our overall electric bill.

Worked great until this year. I guess after 3 yrs you gotta just throw away a working product these days. I had it cleaned because it suddenly started smelling up the house w/ a nasty smell. Still smells. There was nothing in it when it was serviced so I have no idea what could be making it smell nasty. It's coming from the vent hose.

The connection between the hose and unit causes a lot of the hot air that was just taken out of circulation to leak out and go back into the unit causing more in-efficiencies. The hose simply drops into a bracket of the unit and the air gap is enough alot of hot air to leak. This is a design flaw, not a defective unit. I've had to tape and insulate the hose to prevent leaks for a small improvement. I have to hope that the weather doesn't reach 90 degrees (F) otherwise I'd be sweating as the unit is unable to keep up. It's in a small room as a replacement to a window unit with 2000 less BTU and I'm very disappointed. If the outside temperature is 80 or less, it'll work but I've never had the unit cool the room to the lowest temperature setting of 62 degrees after running it for more than 18 hours continuously.

I just bought this unit and am using it in my bedroom. So far it is working well and keeping the room at a constant (comfortable) temperature.

Works great! I bought two. Keeps my bedroom cold. The other one keeps the rest of the house cool.
