It does not cool too much space so if you have a bedroom and you shut the door when turning it on, then it will keep the room cool/cold.

Needs bigger tank

Also when ups delivered the box was tore and the front panel has a dent in it. Like I said it cools great just the full tank is annoying.

But getting this portable A/C to get us by until we could get a new one worked well. Buying it was cheaper than spending the time in a hotel room, and we didn't have to worry about our dog. The ease of installing it into a sliding window or double-hung definitely elevates this above standard window units. It was also quiet enough; some brands don't even list their dB.
