The Insignia 30W USB-C Compact Wall Charger works well with charging up my electronic devices. I’m able to charge up my Apple iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and other USB-C devices with its 30 watt charging speed. The charging brick is small and lightweight. It fits easily into my laptop bag with no problem. At times I carry my iPad or MacBook in a thin carrying case. The Insignia charger easily fits into the front pocket of the case. The prongs that plug into an electrical wall outlet are retractable. This is one of the features that makes it extremely portable. I have to use a bit of force open and close them, but it’s not too bad. Even with it’s small size it charges my MacBook Pro M2 and MacBook Pro 14” with no problem. While charging my devices, I did notice that it gets a bit warm as went to unplug it. I would assume this is normal with it’s very small size and high output. It does not come with a USB-C cable, so you will have to purchase a USB-C cable or use one that you already own. Overall, I’m pleased with the Insignia USB-C Compact Wall Charger.

It does not charge at 20w. It still does the job but not at what the box states.

This insignia USB-Compact wall charger is a must have for all of your newer electronics. This works great with my Apple products. The combination of 30W power and USB-C speed, which is faster than the typical USB-A, is great for charging my iPad and iPhone 14 Pro fast. You can definitely notice the difference in speed of charging with this Insignia USB-C charger vs charging with a USB-A connection. Also a must own, because Apple stopped including the charging boxes with the new phones. My iPhone 14 pro came with just a USB-C to lightning cable, so you are going to need a USB-C charger for that cord. I like the white finish. Matches my Apple stuff which isn't that big of deal, but it looks cleaner in the white outlets and with everything matching. It is also perfect for travel since not everywhere has USB-C outlets. The plug prongs fold up to create extra space in my electronics travel bag too and space matters when traveling. Lastly, this 30w compact wall charger from Insignia feels solid and well made which is something I have come to expect from the brand. Must have charger!

The Insignia 30W portable power supply is a compact but powerful USB-C to USB-C charger. The small size and retractable blades make it excellent for travel; it’s so small and light that I sometimes toss it in a jacket pocket in case I need a quick charge while out. Build quality is excellent, with a solid feel to the molded plastic unit as well as the blades extension and retraction mechanism. When used on a power strip, the small size ensures that it does not block other outlets. Despite its small size, this charger works great on my iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Air. I use it for other charging needs as well, including headphones and Bluetooth speakers. In a pinch I’ve even used it for an overnight charge on my HP Spectre laptop, although I don’t think it would have enough power to keep up with the laptop’s power drain while running applications. It performed as expected in all applications. With its solid build, highly portable design, flexibility, and outstanding price point I would highly recommend this charger.

Bottom Line: The Insignia 30w USB-C charger provides enough power to charge an ultraportable laptop in a small, compact design. Review: This charger is designed to deliver the wattage used to power the MacBook Air, and it is works well for that task. I had no issue powering / charging my 2021 MacBook Air. Since you can also charge/power smaller devices, it also works for my 2021 iPad Pro 11” and fast charge on my iPhone 13 Pro. Of course you aren’t limited to charging Apple devices, and so I also use it to charge a Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2. Design-wise, the charger is small and compact - it’s only slightly larger than the old, now-obsolete 5 watt chargers that used to come with smartphones. The prongs also fold in, which also makes it a little more compact when in a work bag. There are really no problems or cons with the charger, although buyers will also need to have or purchase a USB-C cable that is appropriate for their device. Also, I could live without the image of the phone, tablet, and laptop on the side of the charger, but it’s not really a big issue.

Came in a nice box well packaged. Kind of hard to review a charger because there’s not much too it. I was impressed with the heavy quality build on this box and I feel confident that if it were to fall from a high distance it would probably keep working. It’s thirty watts so it charges really quickly. One thing I wish these chargers would do better is be able to plug into an extension cord better or even a wall outlet better because the prongs are always on one side and you have to plug it in long side down so it’s going to either block one of the outlets if you have two on the wall or it won’t fit on an extension cord or you would have to place it on the very end of the extension cord with the long side pointed out. I am not sure what design would be able to do that but it seems to me every time I get a new box i am having some type of issue with the plug. Over all though this charger works well and I am happy with it for the most part. I would recommend to a friend if they needed a charger box.
