It's a charger and it works--not much else to say.

I bit bulky, but has been a very reliable device, so far. It was cheaper than the Apple version and has worked in all situations that I have needed it.

The Insignia is a very compact but fast wall charging block. Rated at 30W, this charging block is great for a number of newer devices. You must a USB-C end to plug into the charging block. In my experience using this charging block, it tends to run cool. I have left devices plugged for extended periods and did not notice any heat issues. When not in use, the prongs that plug into the outlet fold into the body of the charging block, making it easy to transport. For that reason, this is a great travel charger. It supports rapid charging in devices that charge up to 30W. I have not tried it with devices that charge faster than 30W, so I cannot comment directly on how it would do with them. But based on my experience with devices up to 30W, I believe it would do perfectly well. The plug is attractively packaged and has a solid feel to it. The body is all white, other than the metal prongs. It has one USB-C plug for a cable, so it only supports one device a time. Given that manufactures tend to ship without a charging block these days, this Insignia Wall Charger is a great addition.

This is a very poor item once again by Insignia which is a Best Buy brand. It is complete trash and it over heats right away.

I was completely blown away by how small this charger is when I opened it. Compared to other chargers with the same capacity this little guy is tiny, and the fold-away blades make it even smaller in a travel kit or bag. When I say small, I mean it’s not much bigger than the original “cube” chargers iPhones used to come with. The difference is those were something like 5 watts while this little beast puts out 30 watts over USB-C PD. That’s enough for some older MacBook Airs and enough to charge iPads, iPhones and Android devices that require USB c quickly. For reference, the Nintendo Switch takes around 40 watts and the new Steam Deck takes around 45. Those are ratings for playing while charging, so this will provide power while playing but the device’s battery will likely drain slowly while playing. In my opinion, if you’re not going to be in a long session and you want to travel as lightly as possible that’s a small price to pay. Note that if you’re not playing while charging this will charge to full capacity, it may just take slightly longer than with the stock charger for those devices. If you’re like I am and love to have everything you need with you when you commute or go on trips this is an absolutely essential item for charging on the go, provided your devices take USB-C. At this price this charger is a must-have.

Insignia products are high quality and budget friendly as a rule, and this simple fold away charger is no exception. USB-A chargers have faded away in favor of the much faster and easier to connect USB-C protocol. My brand new iPad Mini 6 and iPhone 14 Pro both included charging cables with USB-C connections. The catch now is that, in the interest of conserving resources, Apple no longer includes the wall plug portion in the new device packaging. Enter the insignia USB-C wall charger block. Its universal for devices with a USB-C cable, and it’s solid as a rock with convenient fold away prongs. So you have a fast charging (exponentially faster than all those USB-A plugs you have collected over the years, no matter what color dot is on them), easy to carry and store power adapter. This little guy is your friend at an airport for sure! It takes so little time to charge and it will plug right into the ports in the gate waiting areas. And with the prongs folded in, you won’t jab your fingers trying to find it in your bag! It’s a no brainer to replace the weaker, older blocks and insignia is a reliable brand every time.

It's soo nice when you get a product that does what it says it does. I have soo many "fast chargers" and they charge my devices sure, but not quickly at all. The description says MacBook, iPad, iPhone and more. I have the "and more" a Samsung note phone and galaxy big tablet. They can be picky at times when it comes to chargers and they both play nice with this one. This Insignia charger charges my phone and tablet very fast! I think even faster than the OE chargers! (Seems like it anyway, and that's what really matters) My friend has a newer iPhone and it charged that just fine as well. The size is nice. It's pretty small and compact, the prongs even fold In so it doesn't get tangled on stuff while traveling. I also like that it's white. A bit easier to see/find, the black are so easy to get lost. It doesn't come with a cable - it does state that but... -, so be sure to grab some of those. The cables seem to break too easy these days. The price, I think, is quite good for a fast charger that actually charges fast. I have had great experiences with Insignia products.
