No frills simplicity, bought for our office, just to watch the news, and stream videos via chrome, works great.

I purchased the Insignia 32 inch 720p television to replace a 13 year old 27 inch CRT TV. It was the best deal on a 32 inch flat screen TV. Under $150. I had bought a 19 inch Insignia brand TV in 2009. It is still running as good as when we first bought it. We were told then that Insignia TVs are reassembled from surplus LG or Toshiba LCD TVs. That may be. I have not seen that in writing from Best Buy, but I like that TV. I like this one too. The reasons that I did not give 5 stars is: 1. Only 2 HDMI ports. I have 2 other TVs that are not Insignia that have 3 ports. I usually use all 3. So I connected 1 device via RCA composite jacks instead. 2. Remote is not as functional button-wise as my 19 inch Insignia TV. 3. Sound is ok, but not as good as my LG or Vizio TVs. I really have to turn the volume up to hear it well in a small room. Even my 19 inch TV sounds better. 4. The dash has to be pressed to change digital channels. Most newer TVs automatically put -1 after the channel is entered. If you want more features and 1080p resolution, look elsewhere. For just replacing an old CRT TV, it is fine.

My only draw back is its warm up time is a little longer than I like but not enough to be unhappy with the tv

I am currently using this as my computer monitor so I can say that the screen operates well for that application.
