It is faster at channel surfing, and turning up the volume. Volume is great on this new TV! I would have given it 4 stars, but as an older, technically challenged woman, I had problems figuring out how to just get TV channels, didn't want all the extras that pop up when you turn the TV on. I figured it out, but wish it would just turn on with my TV channel already on. It has a lot of extras that someday I might check out, but I have not used the Fire option.
