Spend a little more money for a quality TV

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm making a bit of lengthy review mainly because I'm not seeing very many, practically none, that are both detailed about this TV and not a rant about they got burned. So straight off I'll say that Insignia is definitely NOT a top of the line brand, never have been never will be. What's great about them though is that their probably the best budget TV on the market and have been pretty much since they started. Any budget TV will come with pro's and con's, but here the good definitely outweighs the bad. The big negative is that most Insignia TV's are not likely going to last a super long time. It follows that I recommend them as a bedroom or kids room TV, where their not likely to get as much use and typically last more than long enough to be plenty worthwhile. If you're getting a TV for your main TV and/or living room, go with a brand like LG, Vizio, Samsung or Sony. However that's not to mean an Insignia is remotely bad, just don't work them night and day and accept that being a budget TV means average specs and you'll end up with a perfectly fine TV. Ok, on to this specific TV. Straight out of the box everything went smoothly as can be. I've had more than my share of flat screen TV's so setup was super quick and easy. At the same time I got a DVD player and antenna to pair with this TV and once they were hooked up I clicked the power button and began setting up the TV. I mainly watch movies and broadcast TV on my TV's, so I at least partly judge a TV by how many channels I can get, and I always use a decent quality antenna to ensure that, you know, I didn't cheapen out and it's my fault if I don't get many channels. That said a quick channel scan and I got roughly the usual number of channels for my area. The remote insisted on being updated which took a minute. After that I clicked over to the DVD player and made sure the inputs were on point. All good so far. I am a gamer too and it does alright for games, given it's a 720p model. Ultimately it's a great budget TV for a great price. If I had one complaint it's that I don't like the tiny little remote, give me a remote with a numerical keypad please. I seen a lot of reviews complaining about the sound, but really it's pretty average and perfectly acceptable, not going to blow you away, but good enough given it's only a 32 inch TV. I'll end by saying that a final recommendation for this TV is to only buy it when it's on sale. Which is thankfully most of the time. I got it for $119.99, but don't pay the regular price of $199.99 for this. I mean, it's a budget TV and the regular price turns it into a higher end model (by measure of the price) which it's not.

Not worth it

Not that Good

Even for my self little technical I have a problem and it gets stuck on boot. Still looking into it with manufacturer. Not a good buy.

Nice picture TV

Doesn't work

Slow and laggy

Didn’t last long
