2 Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's hard to complain about being able to purchase a SmartTV at this price; however, I have two complaints. One is sound. Loudness of audio can change wildly from program to commercial or from commercial to commercial. I live in an apartment, so when I turn on the TV, I make sure the sound is not too loud. Too often, I'm in another room when it changes from a program to a commercial or from any one thing to another, and the TV begins to blast. I have to rush to turn it down before it wakes the neighbors. The other problem is the offerings under the category of "News". They offer just as many truly "fake news" choices (NewsMax, various FOX choices) as they do real news stations (ABC, CBS, NBC). In addition to the live broadcasts, they provide shorter, single-issue pieces. When one finishes, it moves on to the next. This means a watcher can be watching legitimate news one moment, and a Fox broadcast the next. Most Fox broadcasting is not licensed as a legitimate news station. I've owned a low-cost Smart TV before and didn't have either of these problems.

Parental controls
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What is the biggest downfall is I can’t lock the tv with a passcode at a certain time like I can the fire tablet. That would be a great upgrade to the TV. I got this tv for my sons room and I can set the timer on it manually every night, but once the tv turns off my son goes and turns it back on. The fire tablet I can set a certain time and it locks with passcode and after the certain time you need a passcode to get back into the tablet. It’s a nice feature I just wish that was an option for the TV as well. But overall the tv is pretty nice. It has a lot of features.
