Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this tv… slowest thing ever. Tried updating, factory reset, new wireless booster. Nothing helps this television. Sit in our kids room and isn’t used because of how long it takes to turn on and open whatever app or streaming service wanted.

TV Will Not Pair with Remote (My TV is a Dud)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that I received a lemon. This TV will not sync up to the remote control. So I cannot get past the "Pair Remote to TV" screen. I worked with an Insignia customer service rep who was polite/helpful and went through several problem solving approaches (i.e. resetting remote, resetting TV to factory settings, etc.) to address the issue. The rep even sent me a second remote - which would not pair to the TV. So, this morning I will be packing this TV back up in its box and taking it back to the store. I'm debating on if I want to exchange it for the same TV as this has been a frustrating experience (I've NEVER had this type of problem with other TVs that I have purchased - which have been reliable Samsungs...to say that I hate this TV (based upon this experience) is an understatement). If you are buying this TV as a gift for someone, I highly recommend that you make sure that you test the TV to see that you can pair the remote (to the TV) or you are going to have an upset recipient. P.S. There is no workaround for being unable to pair the remote. The TV itself only has a power button. So, if you cannot pair the remote then you are simply stuck.

Don’t be fooled
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first it looks like a great functional TV however after a few months it starts to slow down. It also starts restarting itself out of no where or the app just closes randomly.

A complete waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV 3 years ago. During that time I have been able to watch it for approx 2 months. At first everything set-up and connected perfectly. Then 1 month in it lost the connection to the WIFI. You could not get to the home screen. You could not get to settings. After trying every day for a few weeks, I gave up and bought another TV. I stored the TV in my guest room and the other day decided to try again. I plugged it in and there was the home screen and I could scroll to settings. Wonderful, I connected to my home WIFI. I then though it would be nice to use an antenna to get local stations. I ordered an antenna and connected it to the TV. However when I turned the TV on I now have a screen telling me about a new accessibility option and guess what I can't get passed the screen. Can't get to the home screen, can't get to settings, nothing. This TV is a complete waste of money. I will never buy an Insignia TV again.

Fire tv integration is maddening
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So disappointed with this tv that we took it back the same evening. Insignia is a great brand, but the Amazon Fire integration makes it horrible. Issue with this was with the Fire TV rather than the Tv itself; there were no commonly used apps available, only apps and channels through an Amazon portal. So we couldn’t log in to our individual streaming accounts like HBO Max or Hulu - instead, the only option was to purchase -another- channel of that service through Amazon. Just clicking on the icon made the purchase- no consent button at all. Difficult to navigate; takes forever to install; had to reset just ten minutes into the process. Hulu channel was super hard to find- and when we did, it didn’t work. Wish Insignia still made the Roku TVs; we’ve got an old Insignia Roku that is going strong five years now. Purchased a 32’’ TCL Roku whose screen broke after a very slight bump by a toddler. Wish TCL or Westinghouse were not the only options; we will try a Smart tv now, from a non-TCL brand.
