Hopefully, it did not damage the function of the tv. Did not opened it until we dropped it off which is 2 hours away and about 2 weeks later. The batteries which were still in the wrapper were already leaking. Too much logistics to exchange. Fingers crossed that it remains working correctly. TV is okay for the price, but I don't know it was used or old.

Salesperson was asked and verified the upon pushing the power button, the unit comes on where it was turned off. (Cable input) After all the set up and everything associated with that, I found the it does not. You have to select what input you want EVERY TIME! This is the same problem with the original TV. Too many options for some seniors. After that being said, I must say the the TV has a good picture and good sound.
