I have a 70" Vizio smart TV that defaults to cable/HDMI input w/o any issues, however, it's not a stupid "Fire" TV. Not sure if this is related to the "Fire" aspect of the TV or if it's just the way Insignia does smart TV's. Anyways, I returned this TV for a non-smart TV, since it's for my 76 year old mother who does not need to hit 3 to 5 buttons to get it to HDMI since her eye/hand coordination is not great.

Could you please try as below?
Change to "Last Input" in setting, then the TV turn of under HMDI source, next time turn on will be at the same source. The detail process as below:
1. Select "Setting" at home page.
2. Select "Display&Sounds".
3. Select "Power controls".
4. Select "POWER ON".
5. Select "Last Input".

What's the deal with the horrible picture. I was assured that on such a small tv there would not be much diff between 720 and 1080 p. Okay, but the color is horrible. I have experiemented with different values in setting, but this is by far the worse picture I have ever seen. I have researched suggested guideliness for "recalibration" . Any suggestions from BEST BUY would be appreciated. I would not buy this again.
