Solid budget TV, love it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If looking for a smaller TV it's kinda hard to come up with one that's dramatically better than the others because companies aren't as focused on smaller TV's as they are with their bigger one's. That said there's something favoring just getting an inexpensive budget TV if you're going with anything smaller than a 43 inch (at this size there's at least a few quality options). Some will revert back to good old Samsung & LG TV's even with a 32 inch, but the differences are usually marginal at best today, while 5-10 years ago that equated to a TV that'd likely last longer nowadays all that really amounts to is you paying more for a more recognizable brand that's believed to have a better reputation, when really their reputation is only relevant in their larger TV's. Even the stores salespeople will tell you that Samsung & LG offer entry-level & budget friendly TV's, and that's shown in all of their 32 inch TV's. So pocket the roughly $50 difference and get an Insignia. Also ain't mad at TCL, Hisense, Vizio or Toshiba (do avoid Westinghouse, RCA, & Element like the plague) if you've had personal bad luck with Insignia. However for the most part unless you have a particular favorite brand then there's everything to love about most Insignia TV's. If I had one complaint (as no TV is perfect) it'd be the small little remote. It works fine, I'm just not at all big on it being so small. Otherwise Insignia is cranking out solid TV's at a solid price, if you're just looking for something for the kid's room or the bedroom. I probably would recommend a top tier brand for a main room TV. Insignia is a great value, but their not mind blowingly amazing either.
