Did not like Fire TV set up

The TV was for my kids' room. I did not like the set up for the Fire TV. It was too difficult and annoying to back and forth from my account to theirs. And on the kids account I cannot have sleep mode on.

"smart TV" function rarely works properly

Pros: good price, video and audio quality are good Cons: randomly decides it can't connect to the Internet when powering on - factory reset fixed it (though problem returned a week later). Randomly won't show apps on the home page - have to unplug/replug TV to fix it. TV was great for the first few months, now I have to fiddle with it every time I turn it on. If planning on using it as a smart TV, don't buy.

Overall good tv. Only issue I have is it has a auto power off "feature" that you can't turn off. If the tv is inactive for 20 minutes even with the screen saver on it power off completely. They seems like a very annoying oversight.

    Cheap and Cheap

Thank goodness it was cheap to buy because both of the ones we got have performed as well as a one-legged cow on ice skates. It's hard telling where the glitches end and the functionality begins some days, but at least it's clearer when they freeze altogether. If you're looking for an inexpensive TV that frequently turns itself into an expensive electronic picture frame, this is for you.

I don't understand why, but this TV just went black, stopped working. I was surprised; had to be just a fluke. I have previously bought Insignia TV's with no problems, and will continue to purchase this brand.

Got this for a relative to use in her closet where she hangs out ironing clothes. TV screen is good and no issues. However, I just don't like firetv. I think it is slow and hangs up frequently.

We have had this tv for our son’s room for about 6 months now. It is completely unusable because of the software lags, and bugs. We have restarted the tv, reset to factory defaults, contacted customer service, etc and it still cannot play streaming videos from any service without pausing to buffer and sometimes just closes out. I have even tried to use other streaming devices on the tv, like Roku, but to select a different HDMI input, it forces you to use their software to select a profile, and then switch inputs. Many times, it takes so long to load, to just switch to an external device to stream anything. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!

Product seems to have an issue with the channel cutting off for a second or two. It's irregular but seems to be similar to an issue with my fire stick on other tvs.

Turns off when it wants, locks up when it wants, has to be unplugged to unlock it. A couple of the buttons on the remote will do other random functions when pressed. Ended up buying a different Samsung.

Got this TV because it included firetv. However, I was surprised to find out that I was unable to control it with my Amazon Alexa device. Granted it didn't say it would on the box. But I thought Amazon FireTV with Alexa, should be able to control with my Alexa devices. Nope, just the alexa on the tv. Bummer.
