I only payed $80 for this TV so for that price it was worth it . But the picture quality is average at best and the sound is not great.

Extremely disappointed with Fire TV & remotes

I bought multiple TVs with fire TV system on them, with the sole purpose of wanting to use in same room, control separately. (Don’t judge me) I may be odd, but I can’t imagine I’m the ONLY person who’s ever had more than one screen in one room. I got them out and started setting them up and imagine my surprise (frustration) when ever time I used a remote to any of them, they would ALL do stuff!! (& Yes!! I know about the app remote!) How hard is it to make a remote that works on a particular TV?? It’s been done for YEARS!!!! Roku makes a STICK that can detect TV brand, and then control just THAT TV!! You’re telling me ROKU can make a $15.00 stick that does this and Fire TV can’t do it on the systems they install on TVs??? Don’t think I haven’t thought of hauling all these back in to the store to return!! I keep having to unplug alternating ones every time I turn around just to keep them all from going crazy even time I touch one remote. I don’t think I’ve ever giving a 1 star review in my life!!
Now I have brand new Fire TVs with Roku sticks just so I can actually control them individually.

Brand response from Rick

Hi,
Thanks for your review.
Here are steps of Pairing Instructions (for Multiple TVs): Note that when pairing each time, only one TV should be turned on. After pairing is completed, they can be used at the same time. Reset each remote: Press and hold Back + Menu + Left buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds until the remote resets. Label TVs and remotes: Clearly mark each TV and its corresponding remote (e.g., TV-A + Remote-A, TV-B + Remote-B, etc.) to avoid cross-pairing. Start pairing on the TV: On the target TV, go to: Home → Settings → Controllers & Bluetooth Devices → Voice Remotes with Alexa → Add New Remote. Complete pairing: Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing the designated remote. Repeat steps 3–4 for each TV/remote pair using the labeled sets.

Buyer Beware

Bought this upgrade to my last 32 inch and sadly it’s junk. Great picture “when” it wants to work….randomly goes to a green scratchy screen and I have to unplug it and restart it. I use it for random sports on the side I’m watching and this tv isn’t worth the money. Spend the extra to get an LG or Sony. Won’t buy Insignia ever again.

Had to take it back for another TV. 2 days and nobody could get it to accept COX cable as its main source of input. Far too many work arounds required to use our cable source. Every other TV we have, you fire it up and it starts with the last COX channel you watched. This TV insisted on always coming up to a menu where you really were expected to connect to a streaming service.

Not happy with this purchase! The picture quality is poor, but the biggest issue is that about once a week, the TV randomly starts making loud, disturbing noises and the picture disappears. The only way to shut it off is to unplug it. I will be returning it.

Hate that it is incomparable with Roku. Need to have 2 remotes. Would never buy another Fire TV.
