When this item came up on the Best Buy site, I read the reviews and decided to purchase the unit. I have been very pleased. It holds most bottles including a space for sparkling at the bottom. It isn't noisy and keeps the wine at a constant temperature.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit a week ago and returned it today. I had the temperature set at 50 degrees. I understand from my reading online and the manual that the temperature from the top of the unit to the bottom the temperature readings would vary. BUT they varied as much as 15 degrees. I had an old fashioned mercury thermometer on the top and bottom and I had a digital thermometer on the top and bottom. The digital thermometer would also display the highest and lowest temperature as well as the current temperature. The bottom would be as low as 39 degrees and as high as 56 with the temp set to 50. The top would range from 50 to 59. Way to much temperature variance to be good for the wine. I tried setting the temp to values other than 50 and it still did not hold the temperature consistently. NOT GOOD AT ALL !!!

It was very important to be able to store our collection of wine for a longer period of time at a consistent temperature. And be able to store a bigger quantity of wine. I ordered one in order to be sure that it worked as it is described. While many of the reviews I read indicated storage capacity, I do not believe many of them to be from serious wine collectors; this particular model will only fit 34 bottles if they are the "right" size! For those of you looking for a regular cooler to store your everyday wines, this model should be perfect for you. As other reviews say it cools well, is quiet and looks nice. But accurate capacity representation is a problem. For those of you who collect high end wines, such as bigger Cabs and the sort, this wine cooler IS NOT for you. Racks are shaped to allow for storage of 5 "everyday" wine bottles. Our high end wine bottles are wider and therefore only four will fit per shelf. AND to top it off, even if we get a different style shelf to replace the ones that came with the unit, we still could not lay 5 bottles of our wines side by side and get them to fit. Poor design! Thank goodness I only ordered 1. Will not be ordering additional units.The search continues...
