works very good even the fan air comes out cool . its a bit loud but not unbearable .

We didn't want to leave our swamp coolers on all night, so we bought this for our master bedroom. Which is around 220sq. Its easy to install, the user manaul was easy to follow. You do need to vent it out of a window, like every air conditioner, but you can install it without drilling into the window if you use some tape. We didn't even need tape because it fit our window perfectly. Keeps the room very cool, the remote also acts as a thermostat, which is nice. Read the user manual, because if you don't you might miss how to drain it and have it leak everywhere, or wonder why it turns off and beeps, which would indicate the bottom water tray is full.

Runs perfect and get nice and cold. Easy install and very mobile.

Got this for over the summer and it was able to cool 400sq ft easily. Easy to set up, reliable and a great purchase!

Works very well, easy to move and not too noisy. Works also with a remote control which is very convenient.

It's been the best investment I've ever made. It exceeded my expectations, it cools very well, and best of all, it fits anywhere.

Efficient at cooling the room. Night time mode disturbs sleep with frequent cycling on and off. If your windows are not at the standard height above the floor you will likely need an extra exhaust hose and connector to have the unit at the recommended distance away from the wall without 90 degree bends in the hose.

Cools room and works as it should. I like the output door constantly moving if you want it that way. Works great in the room I have it in.

8000 BTU Just right for my bedroom .I can remotely control the temperature of the air conditioner and set the timer .I can also use it as a fan.

We got the Insignia portable air conditioner in anticipation of hot weather that hasn't arrived... yet. Relatively easy to set up and get very cold air flowing into a room that can get very warm. We thought the unit would be portable enough to move from room to room as needed, but realized that in order to do this more easily, we would need to get another set of plastic pieces that couples the air conditioner hose to a window. We got it when the unit went on sale and I think its reasonably priced compared with comparable units available at others store. It's heavier than we thought it would be; there must be a lot of "stuff" underneath the plastic shell!

I wasn't sure to rate this 4* or 5* (wish there was a 4.5). It is on the cheaper end of portable AC units but you get what you pay for. It is not quiet by any means, the window mount for the exhaust setup can be cumbersome as you have to hold pieces together with small pins and it is flimsy. But at the end of the day, it does a good job of its main purpose and it can easily cool down the room size it was advertised for even during the hottest days on record.

On the heavy side but that's what you want for something like this. Cools our large, top floor, high ceiling bedroom quickly, and then maintains the temp. I'm really happy it comes out of the window easily so I can roll it away and open the windows without questioning if it is a hassle. Considering another for our downstairs.

When our central air decided it didn't want to work and the interior of the house was 90, decided to go and get a portable air conditioner. looked online and saw that most prices were close to the same. Went with Best Buy because of the warranty. Great portable AC that did the job perfectly for a week until a tech could get out to fix the system. Only thing that may be an issue is the unit is heavy, so plan ahead for some help if heavy is an issue for you.

Great A/C unit but my only complaint is that the unit is loud. Other than that, I enjoy the unit.

This ac unit works great ,easy too install. Also if wondering will it cool off area larger then what specs are yes.my area it's in is just under 500 square ft.

Insignia - 350 Sq. Ft. 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner When I bought mine, I was having a serious issue with my home's air conditioning unit. This one met the need at the time. It allowed me to have one cool space in my house while I worked on the situation with my air conditioning unit. I like that it can get a room really cold if you keep the door to the room closed. It's not hard to get it up and running, either. If you want to move it from room to room, the wheels will make that easy because they roll so easily. Now, don't expect it to cool more space than what the title says. I found the air from it to have an unpleasant odor, even though I keep the water poured out of the top and bottom drain pans. I did not expect the condensation that collects on the top of the unit, and sometimes other spots. You'll probably have to wipe it a lot. Expect it to be really loud, so if you have to sleep with it on, watch TV, work on the computer, or talk on the phone, any of this will be affected. Ok. For "value" I give it a "4-Star" because I see it priced lower than what I paid, and I haven't had mine that long. For "quality," I give it a "4-Star" because of the smell and the noise. For "ease of use" I give it a "5-Star" because of easy installation and easy moving from room to room. I would definitely recommend this item if you should find yourself in a similar situation to mine. I would not recommend it for long-term use.
