Great ac unit for my garage, especially during the hot summers! I work in my garage and do carpentry and work on my car so it’s very helpful and a big game changer and makes working during the heat bearable. I definitely recommend to any and everybody!

Works great when in a small room. Only downside is the exhaust hose is not long enough to reach my window.

This Insignia Portable Air Conditioner was a life saver when the central air for our upstairs unexpectedly died. It was quick and easy to install the unit in our bedroom, is relatively quiet for a portable unit, and did a great job keeping the room cool and comfortable. The thermostatic control works perfectly and brought the temperature to the desired set point, then cycled on and off to keep it there. You can't beat this one for the price. Highly Recommended

Easy to install and puts out amazing cold air. I was worried about it not cooling the entire room but it does and does it quickly. Literally as soon as you cut it on the outpouring of cold air is immediate. I questioned how portable it was but it really is. The wheels make it so easy to just roll wherever you want it. And the set up is so simple. So much easier to install than a window unit. I’ll never go back ... portable AC’s all the way. Still can’t believe how much cold air comes out of this thing. Definitely worth the money. Sorry I waited so long to get one.

So the unit worked great and cooled down a fairly large master bedroom. It has this weird plastic smell that never went away though. I’ve been using it for three weeks and it still stinks. I’m not sure if it’s getting lesser or I’m just getting immune to it. i’m hoping when I have to flush the water that smell will go away.

Overall a good product and works Well. The AC is a little loud so you may want to keep it in a far window or corner Happy with purchase as it keeps My living room and kitchen cool

Definitely cools off the space. Instalation was pretty simple. Only drawback is that it is a bit noisier than window units we've had in the past.

This AC unit works remarkably well! We had an older model of AC unit that just couldn't reduce the heat in my bedroom but this thing literally made my room too cold in SE Tennessee!! In a 100 year old house! Quite extraordinary.

The unit works as advertised. I have it set up in my fully insulated, and very tightly sealed garage. The unit is sitting on a table to allow the hot exhaust vent to reach a nearby awning window near the ceiling of the garage. I used the provided window panel and covered the rest of the window with a sheet of foam insulation and put some blue tape on it. This is just for the few hot summer months in Texas. No one will see it except me. I have a drain line running outside under the garage door, but nothing has ever come out of it as all of the moisture has gone out the window as advertised. What I failed to foolishly realize was the vacuum this was creating at the start in the garage. As I said it's insulated and tightly sealed. I could barely get the side door to the garage to close as the unit was sucking so much air out of the garage space. I solved this by cracking another window open (opposite side of the garage) just a quarter inch, and lowering the fan speed to "low." Still a vacuum reduction in the space, but not severe. I can now keep the garage at a comfortable 80ºF and my freezer and refrigerator (also a freezer) in the room are not laboring to keep up when the garage temperatures occasionally have hit the low 90s in the past.

Works great as a cooler. Has a VERY irritating feature, which is a blue light-up LED display — this can’t be switched off, and for use in a bedroom necessitates some MacGyver nonsense to keep it from lighting the room up like a second sun. Hard to believe a human designer made such an error — but otherwise it’s perfect, so.

Not particularly impressed but: PROS: works fine and it's quiet and easy to install. The window kit came with four panels that allows you to choose the perfect size for your window size, very cool. Remote control is easy to operate and a must have. Does have a nice design and seems well built. CONS: The exhaust hose doesn't look sturdy enough in comparison with my others units (Edgestart). In fact mine came broken in one edge. But after many tries, Best Buy came with a solution. Customer Service was great. The only thing was the long, LONG time waiting on the phone. I mean it. Ended buying another hose (universal) from other supplier because the part wasn't available at Best Buy, that's sucks. Hope it could work right. That's the REAL CON: THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS AC, sinçe is a new model. Well, hope they will have REPLACEMENT PARTS soon. Is nonsense not to have them, since they manufacture INSIGNIA. After all gave 4 stars because they did their best to help me and is a fairly decent AC. Did bought a protection plan, if anything goes wrong (hope not), trust Best Buy wil find a way to help me (or have REPLACEMENTS). Historically been a positive experience with Best Buy, since forever.

Amazing product for hot days. A bit loud but it does the job.

Works just as a A/C. Had to watch a video on youtube on how to put the adhesives on because we didnt want to put it on the window when the a/c is removed during fall season. Have realized that shutting it off using remote doesn't always take the first time so having to press power on it two or three times which is why this is being rated at 4 stars.

The a/c works great. Keeps our bedroom nice and cool. I do recommend having a dedicated circuit for this however. This unit pulls almost 12 amps by itself. I read reviews that says this unit is loud but in our experience it is not very loud at all. Installation was straightforward and comes with everything you need however you may need more weatherstripping than what is sent with the unit. It is a heavy unit but it is on rollers.

Works well as descibed and simple installation. Like the oscillating fan blower feature and gets really cold!

I bought the Insignia 300 sq. ft AC last year and needed an AC for another room. I picked up Delonghi AC from a member warehouse store and it did not cool the room and returned it. I went back to Best Buy and purchased the trusty Insignia brand. This unit is awesome. Set up is easy, it's easy to operate, and most importantly, it cools a 300 sq ft room fast. I'm so glad I purchased it before the heat wave in Seattle arrived. I will be staying in my room and wait for the cool down next week. Buy this AC, you won't regret it!

Cools nicely. Does not take up too much room and I can install and de-install myself.

After installing and using this unit for few weeks I am very happy with the performance of it. It will cold down my room within 15 minutes or less and maintain the room at a comfortable temperature for long time. Also I like the convenient of the on/off timers. The remote control unit is great and have the same features as the once in the main unit. So far is all good.
