Great air conditioning, can be a little loud but keeps room cool. Just what I needed. Easy set up

The house AC picked the hottest day of the year to terminate its existence. I went into Best Buy with few expectations that I would find a temporary fix. Best Buy had a nice selection and the Insignia model seemed to be a great solution. And it was. It cooled the living room and dining room of the house to the desired temperature. I am quite pleased with the purchase.

This Insignia Portable Air Conditioner was a life saver when the central air for our upstairs unexpectedly died. It was quick and easy to install the unit in our bedroom, is relatively quiet for a portable unit, and did a great job keeping the room cool and comfortable. The thermostatic control works perfectly and brought the temperature to the desired set point, then cycled on and off to keep it there. You can't beat this one for the price. Highly Recommended

The price was excellent being an open box unit. Was a little dirty and had a little bit of water on the bottom of the box, that’s the reason for no 5 stars. But happy with the purchase because it works great and had all the accessories that come with it.

We have two of these now and they are very good for the price (especially open box if you can score one) they aren't super quiet, but they're good enough to be in an office with headphones on or sleeping with earplugs. The only thing is that the drip hose is very low and so it makes it difficult to find a large enough catch vessel so you don't have to dump it every couple of hours.

Works well for a single room. Best to have doorways blocked as they draw alot of air from all areas in the house unlike window units. My guess is because of the condensing onto the condensing coil. Conclusion is Works well for a single room unless you want to run a condensate line.

The kids have spoken, and they give it 5 stars! It keeps their room nice and cool during these hot, humid nights. Curbside pickup made it a breeze to collect, and the customer service was great; he even helped me by putting it in my car. putting it in my car.

Bought this AC unit before summer started and have really been enjoying it so far. It keeps our living room very cool on hot days and even reaches into other rooms. It is a larger unit so you will need adequate space but does the job.

Easy to install and puts out amazing cold air. I was worried about it not cooling the entire room but it does and does it quickly. Literally as soon as you cut it on the outpouring of cold air is immediate. I questioned how portable it was but it really is. The wheels make it so easy to just roll wherever you want it. And the set up is so simple. So much easier to install than a window unit. I’ll never go back ... portable AC’s all the way. Still can’t believe how much cold air comes out of this thing. Definitely worth the money. Sorry I waited so long to get one.

Definitely cools off the space. Instalation was pretty simple. Only drawback is that it is a bit noisier than window units we've had in the past.

It was simple enough to put together and we had it up and running in about 15 minutes. We are using it in the main bedroom and it cooled the room down quickly. When the desired temperature is reached the unit quiets down to a steady fan type of noise. It’s a good product at a reasonable price.

The unit works as advertised. I have it set up in my fully insulated, and very tightly sealed garage. The unit is sitting on a table to allow the hot exhaust vent to reach a nearby awning window near the ceiling of the garage. I used the provided window panel and covered the rest of the window with a sheet of foam insulation and put some blue tape on it. This is just for the few hot summer months in Texas. No one will see it except me. I have a drain line running outside under the garage door, but nothing has ever come out of it as all of the moisture has gone out the window as advertised. What I failed to foolishly realize was the vacuum this was creating at the start in the garage. As I said it's insulated and tightly sealed. I could barely get the side door to the garage to close as the unit was sucking so much air out of the garage space. I solved this by cracking another window open (opposite side of the garage) just a quarter inch, and lowering the fan speed to "low." Still a vacuum reduction in the space, but not severe. I can now keep the garage at a comfortable 80ºF and my freezer and refrigerator (also a freezer) in the room are not laboring to keep up when the garage temperatures occasionally have hit the low 90s in the past.

Very portable and quiet, this unit efficiently cools two rooms. The price was reasonable, and I’ve already recommended it to two family members, both of whom have purchased it and love it too!

Not particularly impressed but: PROS: works fine and it's quiet and easy to install. The window kit came with four panels that allows you to choose the perfect size for your window size, very cool. Remote control is easy to operate and a must have. Does have a nice design and seems well built. CONS: The exhaust hose doesn't look sturdy enough in comparison with my others units (Edgestart). In fact mine came broken in one edge. But after many tries, Best Buy came with a solution. Customer Service was great. The only thing was the long, LONG time waiting on the phone. I mean it. Ended buying another hose (universal) from other supplier because the part wasn't available at Best Buy, that's sucks. Hope it could work right. That's the REAL CON: THERE'S NO REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS AC, sinçe is a new model. Well, hope they will have REPLACEMENT PARTS soon. Is nonsense not to have them, since they manufacture INSIGNIA. After all gave 4 stars because they did their best to help me and is a fairly decent AC. Did bought a protection plan, if anything goes wrong (hope not), trust Best Buy wil find a way to help me (or have REPLACEMENTS). Historically been a positive experience with Best Buy, since forever.

I bought the Insignia 300 sq. ft AC last year and needed an AC for another room. I picked up Delonghi AC from a member warehouse store and it did not cool the room and returned it. I went back to Best Buy and purchased the trusty Insignia brand. This unit is awesome. Set up is easy, it's easy to operate, and most importantly, it cools a 300 sq ft room fast. I'm so glad I purchased it before the heat wave in Seattle arrived. I will be staying in my room and wait for the cool down next week. Buy this AC, you won't regret it!

Works very well. Very cold. Only thing missing is an internet connection so it back be controlled via the internet.

This has been a live saver! I have officially had it for 2 years. Originally bought because where i was living didnt have a good Ac flow. My room was reaching 85 degrees in the summer! I got this baby and its been wonderful. Nowadays i use it to help maintain a cool temp or use it when our AC goes out.
