I give it 4 instead of 5 because when it turns on (several times a night) it is loud but it is a consistent sound so almost like white noise. I would purchase again.

Solid Little AC

Cannot complain for the price paid. It is being used on the 3rd floor without constant AC on the lower 2 floors, and the room has a 10 foot ceiling.

Great Portable Air Conditioner

I have it in my primary bed room, which has an area of approximately 285sqft, and it cools it with no problem. It does make noise, but is not as bad as other reviews say. I strongly recommend it.

Only problem is when one of the air hoses /exhaust hose cracked, unable to reorder via Best Buy or Insignia since out of warranty. Had to find an off brand hose which took a couple of attempts/orders

Underrated | RARELY needs draining | COLD!

Best feature us you rarely--if ever--have to drain them because they use the water to cool the compressor. GENIUS! I use this to cool my studio shed and it FREEZES me out. I also have these in my upstairs bedrooms for those hot Texas summer nights.

(1) for my wife and I, to cool our home office and (1) for our elderly mother that lives with us. I'm here to tell you, my mother has not been this happy, cool and comfortable in years. The unit we put in the office was defective, but judging by the Insignia 350 sq.portable unit Mom has..... It is just defective. I took it into the Northgoenn, Co location for an exchange and though I have to wait 5 days to receive it.... I could not be happier. Mom's unit is AMAZING!! RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!
