    The air conditioner is good when it cools however with conditions but it takes a while to get cool a lot of water drains out when cooling and the placement is awkward and the remote has a lot of lag does not work but overall does the job

    My computer room gets extremely hot, even when the rest of the house is cool. We bought this for that room and it is doing an absolutely wonderful job against 2 windows (1 facing south) and a patio door. Even covered with thermal curtains you would melt with two large computers putting off heat. It is pretty quiet, sits in a corner and cools a 450 sq. foot room.

    Soooo I didn't realize you had to feed an "hot air" line either outdoors (through a window) or up into a drop ceiling. Luckily I had a drop ceiling where I installed it but it looks pretty ridiculous that way. It functions and cools well. I probably should've taken it back b/c it wasn't perfect for my needs but it works as advertised so 4 stars.

    I just received my Insignia portable air conditioner and am already pleased with my decision to purchase it. My main living area is on the 2nd floor and has a western exposure. It gets very hot and uncomfortable in the warm months. I am looking forward to being able to enjoy my home with the wonderful cool breeze provided by my new Insignia air conditioner
