It did the trick this summer. Kept my hotbox of a studio apt. to a bearable level. However, I noticed at certain temperature settings, it would seem to get confused and make a huffing-puffing noise as if it couldn't decide if it should be cooling or not. I just avoid setting it at 72F which is where it seemed to do it the most often. I set it at 68F or 75F at seems to do okay.

Kept my whole living area coooled. Even on low setting it still kept it cooled. Be sure when you buy this you have a window to output the heat for this unit.

It's effective and works well, but if the drain hose is very short and you don't keep an eye on it, water can spill all over the floor in your room. I don't like that it moves around very easily. I put it in one place, and later it's in another area, and the water moves, making a mess.

Very impressed with the quality of this air conditioner. Bought during an emergency when our central ac went out during a long weekend. It was easy to set up, quiet, and powerful. As a bonus it has a dehumidifier function that could be used after water damage.

Keeps a room plus cool. Can't beat the price and it's nice to have a room to go to during the summer to relax. Dogs love it!

This has been great cools the room very well. It is loud, but that is to be expected. I used the included drain hose and have it drain into a bucket, rather than chancing having the holding tank leak on my wood floors.

It looks horrible and your wife will hate you for putting this in the room but it works! Don't expect it to cool multiple rooms though. This is only good for a large size room. If you want to cool multiple rooms go with the window units.

The product works really well. Just make sure the exhaust is pointed outside the room and the unit will cool off the room pretty efficiently. I was a little hesitant in the beginning, but it is a life saver when my AC breaks down, especially in Texas heat.

Easy to install. Doesn't cool huge areas but does the job.

It works great once it is installed correctly. It can cool the room pretty quickly (please note that my room is around 167 sq. ft.). So far, no issues.

When my central AC went out, I went and purchased this until my AC could get repaired. This did not disappoint and I would definitely recommend this unit!

The air conditioner works pretty well. I only have one complaint. The water drain is located very low on the machine. Difficult if you have carpeting. Other than that, it is quite useful.

My central a/c stopped worked during over 90 degree temperatures of a week's duration. My repair plan customer service with Centerpoint was contacted with a wait for repairs of ten days. I have asthma and needed the A/C fixed as soon as possible. Buying a portable air conditioner was my only option. I found a unit at Best Buy in Minnetonka, but it was more expensive than what I could afford for a short-term solution. My salesperson kindly offered to check other Best Buy locations for a smaller, less expensive unit. He located it at the Eden Prairie store and we completed all the paperwork prior to going to that location. All I had to do was go to that store where they loaded it into my car. I appreciate all the help this sales person offered to me and it was also on the July 4th holiday. Thanks so much.
