From the moment I unboxed the Insignia Portable Air Conditioner, I was impressed by its sleek design and compact size. Setting it up was a breeze – the included instructions were clear, and within minutes, cool air was filling my room. The white exterior seamlessly blended with my decor, adding a touch of modernity. What sets this air conditioner apart is its ability to efficiently cool spaces such as my mancave . I could feel the temperature drop within minutes, creating a comfortable oasis during scorching summer days. The user-friendly controls on both the unit and the remote made it easy to adjust settings and customize the cooling experience to my liking. One standout feature is the programmable timer, allowing me to set specific operating times to conserve energy. The low noise level was a pleasant surprise, ensuring a peaceful environment without the disruptive hum often associated with air conditioners. The portability of this unit is a game-changer. With smooth-rolling casters, I could effortlessly move it from room to room, ensuring comfort wherever I needed it. The adjustable louvers allowed me to direct the cool air precisely, enhancing the overall efficiency. The Insignia Portable Air Conditioner exceeded my expectations. It’s pretty good, a little bit noisy but it gets the job done in a small room. The exhaust is a bit short though, my window is up high so I have to put it on a box to reach, and there’s no locks on the rollers so I have to avoid bumping it or it rolls easily.

So far so good. My ac died i. 97 degree weather and we picked this up...cooled well and cooled the space quickly. Its a little noisy for at night (but not distracting) and the foam they give youyo seal the window is extremely hard to remove once you are ready to put the unit away (which made it hard for my window to shut/lock completely). Overall - It was a lifesaver as we have folks in here with medical issues and small pets that were struggling as it got over 90 inside the house. This ran like a champfor the whole week we needed it...non stop. Remote features are really nice too.

I had an issue with my central air system and hope to replace with heat pump this fall. Until then i purchased some portable AC units from Best Buy including this unit to deal with recent heat waves. Perfect for small bedroom. It is somewhat noisy if you want to watch TV BUT nothing i didnt expect. I would purchase this same unit again if I needed another ac.

It is a good option, cools very well and quick however it is noisy and increases a lot the electricity bill if used for some hours per day. In general It is ok, but if I was buying today I would explore other options that makes less noise.

Good overall cooling, easy to install, loud running noise, and cools my ~300 sqft room in about 20-40 minutes. I purchased an used, in excellent condition model, and the remote was missing. I called to see what they could do and they only offered to check in store for the remote, return it, or a credit. Air conditioner was also scratched up and still had lint and other grime, not the best used product I’ve bought from bestbuy

I had an issue eventually with the hose coming lose regularly. Prior to that i loved this portable ac. Simple setup, cooled my entire room swiftly and easy to manage. It is noisier than the honeywell version and uses far too much electricity. Overall great in a pinch but couldnt keep it long term even without the issues.

Wasn't to loud as others have mentioned falls into the sound range of a normal fan running in a room. Helped keep my master bedroom warm at night without having to cool the whole rest of the house. Set-up was easy and the foam provided was enough to provide a proper seal on the window. Over worth it.

We’ve been comparing portable ACs for weeks. We almost went for another known and trusted brand which was more expensive but for the same BTU. We needed to buy 2 AC units for the rooms that we have and decided to go with this. It didn’t disappoint. It is loud but it cools the room perfectly. Remote control is a bonus as it measures the temp from where the remote is located and adjusts the thermostat with your setting preference (not just where the AC unit is located). Also, installation is easy.

I cannot speak highly enough about this air conditioner. Best Buy pricing and quality performance. My air conditioner had quit working during the Texas heat wave, this machine's I think was like a lifesaver. Super easy to install and easy to operate. Starts cooling instantly. Glad Best Buy had it on sale and in stock.

So glad I purchased this unit. Its still going strong after a year of use and keeps us cool during heat waves. Easy to set up, move around, and use. It’s a bit bulky but hasnt been an issue as we typically set it up in the corner of a room. Cools fast! The fan does blow loud so if im on a call i do step into a different room or pause it. At night, we set it on a timer 30min before bed so that when we’re ready to sleep the room is nice and cool. It was suppose to be temporary, but im considering getting another after receiving quotes for central ac. Works best in bedrooms, but i have used it in a much larger living room if its REALLY hot. Took much longer, but did cool it down a few degrees to make it manageable.

Purchased this unit to help cool a small home (2-BR, LR, Kitchen, Bath) as the total SQ FT was small. We wanted to remove the old window AC and replace it with a portable we could use in multiple locations if needed. The unit cools well and is simple to connect and remove from the window. We like to disconnect it and remove the window baffle when we're away or during colder months when not in use; very simple and convenient. My only complaint is the A/C condensate drain. When the condensate tank is full of water the unit shuts off and must be drained. The drain plug on the rear is located less than one inch from the floor on the back and the only way to empty it is to place a shallow pan (eg shallow baking dish) under it per the instructions. It's difficult to move a baking sheet full of water to a suitable dumping location without spilling water everywhere. I wound up making an 8" tall pedestal (18" wide by 16" deep) to set the unit on so it is up off the floor and easier to drain the water using a more suitable container. If you are fortunate enough to have a close floor drain location, you can run a 3/4" vinyl or rubber hose from the drain plug to the drain and just leave it there as a continuous drain. As far as reliability, only time will tell, but the features are good (but basic). It worked very well in the weeks since we purchased/installed it.

I have a 15x15 room my home AC has a hard time cooling, and I have a casement window so a window unit wont work. We do have a small window unit in another room. Setup is pretty simple, even taking this out of the box is very simple, just lift the box up. Its pretty clear what part of the hose goes where. Save the white clips, they are for the window. you have 3options cool, fan and dry. For cool you have auto and cool. auto leaves the fan running as long as the unit is on, cool the unit fan will turn off when not in use (and save electricity). I can see on my home electricity monitor when this turns on and off. it spike is similar to my home AC. you can oscillator the fan up and down which is very nice. Most others don't have this. With the remote you have the follow me function so the AC will stay on till it cools to where you want it to, not just at the unit. i LOVED that. Play with the settings, for some reason mine would shut off the compressor at night and just run the fan. Woke up sweating. Once I finally had it all set up how I wanted I stopped turning it off just turned the temp up. Wish this connected to google or alexa

Solid unit. Used in a bedroom. Was easy to set up. Only con is the vent on the inside rattles at times. Our room gets up to 90 in summer, we have it set to 68 and it gets the room to 69-70 degrees. Did buy this open box so was worth the money.

Well my personal opinion is that sometimes it's not pumping as cold as something rated for this level should be, of the fact that I am constantly hot and no man I'm cold is ever enough for me... During the hottest days of the summer sometimes I had to turn the air conditioner off especially at night because it was too cold and I was shivering. They might be pertinent to stay that this is in a bedroom of average size not a larger living room or space like that.. hey don't feel comfortable standing in my opinion on it if it would cool an entire living room or not as I never tried it and I'm not going to... You know however is that this sucker is powerful compact says out of the way has a very long exhaust tubes you can move it around and I haven't been disappointed once That would be coming from somebody that has buyers remorse for every transaction he ever takes part in. So no remorse not even once. Some people may care that the keys that you click to turn it on off you can tell that the plastic is going to break at some point but that's minimum and cosmetic It works fantastic and that's a matters.

This is my first experience with a portable air conditioner, and I have to say I was very pleased from the moment I turned it on. It cooled a very hot room quickly and actually helped lower the temperature of the rest of the apartment as well. I find the noise level about the same as from a similar-sized window unit. My only worry was whether the vent hose would be long enough for my unusual windows, but it reached with room to spare. Other reviewers mention that it is heavy -- and it is -- but again, similar to an equivalent window air conditioner. I am glad I purchased it and would buy it again.
