Zero stars for performance. Would not cool a 14x11 bedroom. Compressor would not stay on, made odd noises like a cat yacking - as if it was trying to kick in. When it did kick in, it was very loud. We got no sleep the night we tested it. It's a bear to get back in the box and you will need a truck to get it to UPS or the store. This is my second bad experience with this brand. It will be my last.

It works good as far as cooling goes however it’s so noisy I can’t stand it! For the price I think it should be much quieter!

It worked pretty well in my living room. It felt cold in my living room even when it was high 90s outside. Could be more efficient but works well.

Started out great for a few months. I really liked the timer feature to turn on or off when convenient. Then I found puddles of water on the floor as the condensers were seriously icing up though the basement temperature was not below 68. It ended up that a big block of ice would form on the back after a few hours. Now it hardly works at all at less than a year old.

I would literally be a puddle if not for this lifesaver.

I like this ac unit a lot, however I am rating this 3 stars for the giant lie of this being an EXCELLENT condition open box. There were gouges, the foam was all stuck together and it was missing a remote. Whoever rated this as excellent condition clearly was not paying attention.

This a/c is very good for a small room . The features are easy to operate

Not as I had hoped but adequate. It either cools or dehumidifies which seems odd to me. Doesn’t truly cool a 350 sq ft room. That said, it is a well designed unit, quite mobile and useful.

Does not work well in heat and high humidity. I’ve had quite a few different brand portable AC units and this is by far the worst I’ve ever had. It’s been 3 months and I wish I could return it. Needs to be constantly emptied and it’s only cooling 1 room and it can barely keep up, even if it’s in the mid 80’s. If there is a very high relative humidity outside, it’s awful. I feel trapped in my house because I feel the need to be here every single day to check on it to make sure it’s working properly to keep my room cool. Will NEVER buy insignia again.

Good only for a small room. It didn’t cool my basement that well.

It works great but one month after using it it started leaking water all over my floor. Best Buy said because it was past the 15 days I couldn’t return it and I have to use my warrenty and it’s literally the dead of summer. I have to have it sit in a rubber made tub now so the floor can stop smelling like mildew
