Picture not of great quality first time having one

Half of anyone's TV experience nowadays is through the remote & what it can do & just how it feels. That said, a small remote with little more than a dozen buttons doesn't do any favors for an otherwise excellent TV. Definitely getting a bigger universal remote very soon. Whole reason it's a 4 star TV and not a 5 star. The settings, while not complicated, were a bit different and just took a brief moment to adapt to. Presets for sound & picture are decent, no need to adjust. Sound quality isn't brilliant, but it's better than many flat TV's offer. Just say that it makes the most of what's no doubt fairly small speakers. Unboxing & setup was a breeze. Apart from adapting a bit to the settings mode everything else was smooth. Seriously a great overall value. I found on sale for $169.99 + tax and being that a live in a medium sized apartment this 39 inch TV is plenty adequate for my main TV. Of course only time will tell how good of an investment this is, but Insignia has a solid reputation, I take nothing away from the fact that it's a store brand. Ultimately if the size fits your needs & you don't mind the remote size or are using a cable/satellite remote, then this is definitely a solid choice that can frequently be found for well under $200.

This set is actually 34 5/8 inches wide, not 34.8. I needed a set to fit a 34.75" space and this is it unless you go smaller size. Set up was OK, but then I am only using it for cable and a DVD player; none of the other things. Really miss having a paper manual with it. Worked fine for two days, then could not use remote to switch between DVD & Cable unless I turned TV off. Home screen would come up, but could not navigate with remote. The remote will turn TV on and off. Called customer service and spent 45 minutes or so trying to soft and hard "reboot" the remote and the TV. Didn't work, so new remote is in the mail. Turned on TV and now cannot select either DVD or cable. Remote still turns it on and off, but that is it. Pulled out my faithful 28" LG to use until new remote arrives. Keeping fingers crossed this will solve problem and not recur. Really miss old TV's that had basic buttons on TV for manual operation. E.G., input 1, 2, 3, volume up/down Also, it does not pair well with Spectrum/Charter remotes. Can turn it on or off, but that is it. So far the picture seems good, but naturally sound is mediocre. Planned to get an AccuVoice 203 when BestBuy gets them in.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of this TV. I have owned other Insignia TV's and this one out performs them all. I have not had to turn the volume up past 6 out of 100 to hear it perfectly. Has very balanced sound. Picture is very good as well. The only thing i don't like is the remote. It has no number so changing channels it a task. However if hooked up to Cable just use your cable remote to change channel. It is easy to program it.

For house brand tv these are excellent. Firetv a plus, very nice picture for streaming Hulu Netflix ect. Speakers are ok I pair it with a vizo sound bar very pleased. This is my 3 Best buy brand tv no issues with the other two in 3 years. The Alexa that's built in is new to me and seems to work rather well for finding stuff to watch. You can also down load other tv apps to steam your favorite content.

I bought this as a replacement TV for my place in Mexico. Since my place is empty most of the time, I didn’t want to spend much. We have marginal internet access (a shared DSL connection) I wasn’t expecting to do much other than hook up my BlueRay and maybe do some streaming. I was COMPLETELY blown away by how decent this set is (I have an LG OLED at home that cost 12x this one, so I have pretty high standards) The picture is very good, and I’m finding the Fire TV interface just fine. This is WAY BETTER than I expected. I can imagine paying twice what I did, and still be happy.

This is a great TV! Excellent picture. Easy to use. Simple remote. If you are a fan of Fire TV, you will enjoy owning this TV. Great for a bedroom or living room.

For $129.00 there's not a thing to complain about. Put this in an extra room and it does the job. Good enough picture and sound surprisingly good after making adjustments. Excellent value.

Dial the sharpness down to -25 to remove text blotchiness. Always try to buy from Best Buy first. I need the screen real estate in my job, this TV provides it. Dual-screen coupled with a 32" 1080p. Open box with scuff marks. Removed scuff marks by rubbing with my thumb. Disabled all smart features as I don't want/need them. Great job BB as this is your house brand. Have an 8-9 yr old 37" Dynex fluorescent tube LCD in the bedroom. BB brand durability an answered question in this house.

Love my tv highly recommended I bought it in 2019 when I moved into my first apartment and it’s still working like new best choice I ever made.

Worked pretty slick right out of the box, remote has been finicky though. Good price for a smart TV

this is a nice tv especially for the price. another reviewer complained about the 'amazon ads' and no channel number. that person appears to have no idea of what this tv does, which is too bad. connecting to services like prime and sling or direct tv now is fast and easy
