Great tv,no need for a smart tv when my son has an Xbox one. He got upgraded from a 32" to a 39" and he loves it. No complaints so far. Picture looks as good as 1080p, that's my opinion though. I am no tv guru or anything , I just know what looks good. It is comparable to our 50" Samsung in the living room. Great buy for the kids room.

Was looking for a quality but inexpensive TV for a bedroom where the viewing distance was ideal for a 720p. This TV was substantially cheaper than comparable sized models from anyone else, but the reviews were solid. I was a little skeptical but the TV is really quite nice for the price. Easy to use, works well, and perfect for what I needed--all at a much lower price than anyone else was offering.

My old analog tv in my bedroom quit working so I purchased this tv after reading the online reviews. The tv has a great picture and was easy to put together. The sound was not to my liking so I bought a sound bar. However, I would definitely buy this brand of tv again.

So far I haven't had no problems. Picture quality is real good and so is the size. For its price, it's a really good buy.

Over the last 3 years I have purchased 3 Insignia 39" class LED TVs and have been extremely satisfied with their performance. (Most recently paid $199 as a gift for my parents) The picture and sound quality are comparable if not better than similar name brand models that cost hundreds of dollars more. 3 HDMI ports allow cable, game console and DVD/2nd game console. Easy set up - not much more than plug it in, connect to the cable box and turn it on. TV feature settings are easy to access and control - simple to get the picture and sound the way you prefer and easy to change if desired. I've had zero problems with this TV and highly recommend it to anyone who prefers a quality TV at a great price over the need to display a name brand label.

I will keep this simple. My son and I went in looking for a TV for his room. We were thinking of a 32" Samsung or Vizeo, but then saw the Insignia 39" for $199. This TV is fantastic and the price was awesome for what you get. Set-up was simple and it looks really, really good.

I was looking for a flat screen TV to fit inside a cabinet with a 36" opening. There aren't many 39" class TV's so I looked at this one and a Vizio. The Insignia so far appears to be as good of quality but at a lower price. The picture is good, colors are vibrant and the sound is good too. The only potential drawback I've had so far, is that the HDMI ports are spaced quite close together. I use a Chromecast in port 1, but had to skip port 2 because the Chromecast is too big. Luckily I only use 2 out of 3 ports. If you use Roku or Amazon Fire Stick it should not be an issue.

Because of the expensive cost of hotel rentals, we found that it was easier to just buy a monitor for our weeklong conference of presentations. We bought four of these, and they served our purpose well! Great price and great quality.

I purchased this for my step-son who is a high schooler and an avid game player. The screen is borderline needing to go up to 1080p but at 39" the 720p seems just fine. It is thin, light, sturdy and the sound is pretty good for the price point, especially as a bedroom TV. Hopefully it will last long enough to get him through college.

Bought this on sale, $199 when it was regularly $219. Was an upgrade from the 32" Insignia, and while the size and sturdiness are much better, it has fewer ports, the sound quality isn't the greatest, and the picture could be much better. The lower amount of ports wasn't an issue, as I only used 2 of the 4 HDMI slots the old one had. Sound quality is tinny and feels a bit muffled further away, but isn't bad really. Easily improved with a sound bar. Only real gripe is the picture, which gets pixel-grainy in gradients, especially fading to black. Previous television was a smooth transition, and was also 720p, so it confuses me as to why this one is a grainy transition. Still though, not so terribly annoying, and for the price there's very little to complain about!

This purchase was all about price for me. Use these TVs (have bought 2) for guest bedrooms. Perfect size and price. You have to be realistic with your rating.... If you are a Mediaphile then this isnt the TV for you.... If you want a cheap tv for secondary (or probably even primary) viewing then you cant go wrong with this TV.

Great TV...my sister and I bought this for my mom for mothers day! She absolutely loves it. She is not very tech saavy so this was an upgrade to the old tube tv she had that finally gave out. I taught her how to use her HD channels and she is amazed at the quality. Great simple starter TV without all the bells and whistles.

This is a great tv for the price. The picture is crisp, and I like that it has two legs to stand on instead of one long base. It is the perfect size for our smaller living room, a 50 inch or bigger would overpower this room. I would have no qualms recommending this to someone looking for a tv this size.

We had to get a new TV for my parents and had limited space to fit it in. This was the only TV at 39 inches. The price was so cheap but the TV looks great! I would definitely recommend this TV !

I needed a reliable TV since my Magnavox died and have a smaller Insignia that I bought several years ago that is still going strong. This TV is great for my bedroom. I like the light weight and the picture is wonderful. I am happy with my purchase and plan on purchasing another for a guest bedroom.

This TV was very easy to set up. Took now time to program. I did have assistance attaching the base to it because I didn't want it to fall but I can be done by yourself. Out of the box to watching shows, maybe 10 minutes, only because I had to go find my screwdriver. The picture is nice.
