I love this T.V. The saleman told me that Insignia's are Best Buy brand but are made at Samsung. I feel like I got a good T.V. without paying the price for the brand name. I also got it on sale and then got the price match lower then that because it went on sale cheaper the next week. My only negative would be that the Best Buy in my town was out of them and so I had to drive to another town to get one right away. I ordered it online and had no problems picking it up from the other store.

I bought this TV the same month as the launch. The promo price was attractive. It has a great sound quality form a flat tv. The picture quality is decent, though I would have liked it to be better. The connecting sockets are conveniently located. What I don't like about the TV is that every time. I change a channel, the tv resizes the picture every time. So the channel change is not smooth though in the end you get proper switch.

Can't Beat It For The Price

On sale for $349, just can't beat that deal. Other reviewers complained about the sound, we just adjusted it, added some bass and it is fine. Picture is great and the size is perfect - not too big, not too small. Highlly recommend it!

We're not electronics experts, nor do we demand the best; we can't afford that. But we did research on various televisions in the size and price range we wanted, found this one, and purchased it. Since then, we have been more than happy. It has a good, bright picture; various settings for various kinds of viewings; and an overall quality that pleases us.

The sound totally Sucks, even after tweaking and turning way up, it sounds horrible, For the money the picture quality is good. If i could have found another one with a better refresh rate I would have spent a few more $$. But it works for me for now.
I am now looking to purchase a sound bar for this one as the audio is useless.

This TV is great for the money. The sound quality could be better, but you can't complain. You get what you pay for. The only nuisance is that every now and again it will ask for you to run the channel scan. Great size and picture. Would like to have more than one RCA connection, though.

Pretty good bang for the buck. This is a nice size tv for a fairily inexpensive price. It does have a 2 year manufacturers warranty. The picture is pretty good but the sound quality is not that great. Also there are not that many AV hookups. But it does make a good bedroom tv and I would buy another one, but not as my main television.

While we very much like this TV, the sound quality is "tin sounding" - not the warm quality with old TV's. Unfortunately, to obtain a better sound, this would require purchasing a sound bar which costs another $200.
Don't quite understand why this cannot be incorporated into the TV.

Picture blurry - returned for 42" plasma

Got this for a smaller room and didnt want to pay a lot for a replacement for a standard TV. There is a lot of light in this room, so CNET reviews said that LCD was better than plasma for high light rooms. I wanted the 1020p, as well, as this was supposed to make the picture crisper. We plugged it in and the picture was not good at all. Any action was blurry and the only mode that was good was the standard, small mode that was no bigger than the standard (bubble-back) TV that we replaced. Took it back for the Insignia 42" Plasma 720p/60hz and we are much happier. We may have spent $50 more , but the picture quality is worth it. For $80 more than this 39" LCD, is the 40" plasma 1080p/60Hz looked clearer than the 42" 720p one that we got. We had already got the 720p, so we are going to use it for a week or so and see if we want to upgrade. The 40" plasma is in the store, but not online. You may want to go to the store to check these out before you select your TV.
