Unstable software

The software running the system seems a bit unstable. Since I use satellite TV for most of my tv viewing it is very helpful when the tv automatically starts on the HDMI input where I have the satellite receiver connected - that way I can use my satellite remote exclusively. I was happy to discover that you can choose between powering up to either the home screen or the last input that was selected. I selected the option of the last input - and it worked well for about a month. Then it quit powering up to the satellite HDMI input - it frequently powers up to the Amazon Prime app. I’ve tried restoring to factory defaults and then selecting the last input option - and it works intermittently. It can get very frustrating because sometimes I have to dig up the tv’s remote - and my spouse doesn’t handle tech glitches very well so I get an earful when it doesn’t work the way it should. And of course this problem started after the return grace period expired.
