Horrible tv

Can't ever get any app to actually work or stay on longer than 10 minutes before it kicks off and goes back to the home screen! Never again will I buy this brand of tv.

Picture and sound was good and better than our old Westinghouse that was being replaced. 3 complaints: 1. Ads from Amazon are annoying. Could maybe live with it, but we shouldn't have to. 2. No numbers on remote. I thought the smaller size of remote would be worth the sacrifice but I found the lack of numbers not very intuitive. 3. For Antenna TV, the channel guide does NOT display the channel number. Instead, it only lists the station name (i.e. ABC, NBC, KDOC). I called Insignia support to ask if I could change the display setting somehow since it was not mentioned in the User Guide. The specialist was very helpful and mentioned many other consumers having the same problem. As of now there is no solution but there "could" be an update in the future to allow channel numbers to be displayed. I returned this TV for this reason alone. My mom was having a very hard time finding her favorite channels that she knew the numbers to. I shouldn't have to log into my Amazon account just so that she could ask Alexa to turn to a channel for her. *Be aware that Alexa voice control only works if you have an Amazon account! Having a channel guide that cannot display channel number does not seem intuitive or logical. What a waste of an otherwise great TV at a great price. Best Buy was very helpful when I brought it back to exchange for a different TV.

6 months and then - bad backlight - no picture

Hated Fire TV interface

On a scale of 1-10 I'm about a 7 when it comes to technology and I was able to set it up, connect it to the router, cable box and Blu-ray player in about 20 min. I am VERY happy with the color and definition of the picture. It's a smart TV and makes streaming very easy. I want to mention that you need to find the setting on the TV to change the resolution to the highest possible resolution (1080hi in my case). Mine was set on 720 which was the resolution from my old TV. I bought new HDMI cables and they didn't really make a difference in the resolution, but changing the resolution setting in the TV to 1080 really did make a difference! especially when watching cable. Didn't seem to make much difference when watching a blu-ray. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and am enjoying my new TV!
