GREAT TV FOR THE PRICE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back in 1965, a family down the street was proudly showing off what was then the largest color television sold. It cost more than many new cars. The Insignia's 39 inch screen is both larger and sharper than the best tv of that era, at a tiny fraction of the price. The Insignia's picture looks great when you sit directly in front of the screen. At an angle, the colors wash out. Voices sound full and natural after using the audio menu to add both bass and treble. The volume gets just loud enough for a dorm room or a bedroom, but in a living room you will need to plug in a powered speaker to get room filling volume. It is the perfect bedroom or dorm television and would be fine in a small condo or apartment as the primary television. Our living room television is twice the size of the Insignia and cost five times its price but I am happy to do most of my tv viewing with the Insignia.

Sold choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a basic tv. Very good for bedroom or den. It is easy to set up has a very good picture with good color and has no additional bells and whistles that would be a hindrance to your cable controller. I easily paired it with my Xfinity controller and it does everything. It is not a smart tv but if you need that just add a cheap roku or google etc for a few bucks. I like the color and the picture quality but the sound is soft. Plenty of volume for a bedroom or small apartment but not for a big area. Sound quality is good volume is a bit weak. Nevertheless 5 stars because of value for money and general quality. A super price too.

Pleasantly surprised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality isn't as good as the name-brand TVs that cost 2-10x as much, but it's better than other TVs I've seen in this price range. What surprised me most was the sound quality. Bass is powerful, range is great, and there's plenty of volume to fill a room. It won't beat a proper sound system, but it's a huge improvement from my last TV and good enough I've started listening to music with it. The glow-in-the-dark buttons on the remote are a nice touch too.

Insignia's Price and Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia is the cheaper brand option compared to LG or Samsung, but they do have some good quality for what you pay. If you are just looking for a second, third, or fourth tv in your home, this is a good option to look at. Never had a problem with them going out on their own (within a reasonable amount of time). Usually something happens to it to make it not work.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed another TV for my son's Xbox. Great picture and sound. We couldn't tell the difference between this TV, and the 50" 1080p set he was using. Why bother with a smart TV these days when you can just get a Fire Stick and make it smarter than factory smart for $20?

You Get What You Pay For
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I understand that 5 stars is a bit strong but I have to think about my experience with the TV. The 720 picture is sharp and clean and looks great with an HD channel tuned in. Great TV for the money.

Volume is a HUGE issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was given this TV by mistake when I went in to buy another Insignia tv. I did't realize it was the wrong one until I had it all set up. I was disappointed in the picture until I realized they had given me a 720 rather than 1080 tv I requested, so I'm OK with the picture as a 720 set. The volume however is a big issue - I don't think you should HAVE to buy a soundbar to get basic sound you can hear from the couch which is about 5 feet away from the tv in. small bedroom. Even if this had been the actual tv I asked for I would have returned it due to the volume issue.

Good TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television is exactly what I needed. A cheap TV to put in living room for the kids. I had the first one for 3 years before the 4 year old ended it with a golf ball. The new one has made it 3 months so far. Would have 5 stars but I don't like the legs on the new one.
