It was kind of annoying that my original purchase did not come with the necessary cables for use but I guess that's how you get people to come in and shop for more stuff since while I was buying this cable my family was buying cell phones.

It won't work for that, so I switched it out for a product that will. That said, these do work beautifully for streaming photos from a camera to TV. If that your need, works beautifully!

I had no knowledge of where to find such an unusual USB cable. Fortunately my Best Buy support/sales person did, since it is used of one type of phone and is not found in the photography area of the store.
