It's a bit bulky but is a good addon for the people who travel with laptop, smart phone, smart watch, reading device, rechargeable trimmer, etc, and find that the rooms or places where one stays don't have that many plug easily accessible. The cable may seem to long but you will be happy when the wall plug is 6 or 7 feet from where you sit or put everything together. The 30 w PD outlet for fast charging your apple devices works great. It would be even better if it had 2 instead of 1.

Purchased for my neice that's going back to college. Was not familiar Insignia brand, but definitely impressed with it. Has 2-USB and 1-USB-C. Would have liked 2-USB-C.

Convenient, but doesn’t last

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Insignia Surge Protector strip is convenient, with widely-spaced AC plugs and additional USB connectivity. However, the strip worked well from April to October, then began to run warm. With only, at most, an iPad, an iPhone, air pods and, sometimes, a Ring stick-up cam battery, the strip began to heat the plugs, both at the electric source and at the end that was plugged into a device. My iPad began giving the message, “not charging.” I had to unplug everything, wait for everything to cool, then re-plug until the outlet once again began heating the cords that were plugged in and my iPad ceased charging. I tried another power strip, not the Insignia, and it is working fine with the same devices plugged in. Unfortunately, there is no warranty beyond 60 days on this device unless you purchase a separate one: it is not covered under Total Tech, so I had 6 months of use at a cost of $30.
