Loose usb c after less than a year

It was perfect with the long cord and was great to plug everything in next to my bed with the multiple kinds of outlets. My issue started a few days ago when I noticed my ipad not charging. I thought it was the cable and went to check. Turns out the usb c outlet was wiggling around inside the unit. Somehow it has become disconnected. The unit does not get much wear and tear as it stays in the same place and everything I have plugged in generally stays plugged in. Luckily its still under warranty but just barely, I bought it just under a year ago!

I marked it down by 1 star because the cord is so thick and bulky. I pack this in my laptop bag, and it is so bulky it takes up a lot of room and is somewhat heavy. I may switch this to home use, and find another power strip to carry in my laptop bag. I would have initially bought a different Insignia power strip for my laptop bag, which I have bought before, but Best Buy was out of them at the time I was in the store.
