Stops working when all ports used

I had 3 things plugged in and 2 usb ports for the exception of usb-c because other plugged items would stop working when all plugs filled up. Then i tested around and plugged a usb c and removed the regular usb port and boom it worked. I was able to buy another completely separate extension cord but sucks that this surge protector didnt work properly for me. I wonder if it was just me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend Just get it if it it has enough outlets for you.

I bought them to mount under my standing desk and to connect my monitor which has USB-C PD for my MacBook Air, smart lightstrip and HomePod Mini into. The 30W PD supply for the USB-C port is perfect and now I have a spare 20W adapter! I also have a much cleaner look under the desk.
