    I have a newer laptop with two USB ports and I have a wireless mouse. I needed to use an external hard drive and also download to a USB. I know I could use the pad on my laptop instead of the wireless mouse but I find it so much easier using the mouse than the pad on the laptop. So the four port hub is a winner for me.
