They work great. If you need more USB ports than you have available, this is just what you need.

If you're using it to split monitors off a laptop it works well for that too. Just be sure to use the same ports each time you plug in; otherwise your OS settings won't match from your initial setup. One with get you four

It utilizes one USB port to get you four USB ports. Since I don't like wifi keyboards and mouses, I find myself using all 5 ports.
