My mistake was that I needed a 'powered' USB hub and this was not. It does however provide additional USB connections if that is all you need.

Seems a little pricey for something so basic but haven’t had any issues with performance at all. Have had a mouse, keyboard and SD card drive all running at the same time with no issues.
