Well, simply put, buy this. It does fall within spec for 3.0 speed, so it doesn't copy slowly. Do note that if you are running several external drives, I'd recommend going for one that has external power delivery from the wall. But for a mouse/keyboard, a single external drive, and a flash drive? This'll do it.

My laptop only has one USB port and no CD drive. When I need to use more than one interface to my laptop this hardware makes it happen.
