Quality seemed fine but not enough ports for my purpose

Not as fast charging as I'd like but great overall.

Product is decent. Does what it needs to do and feels sturdy, but the price is way too high. Its nearly four times the price of cheaper models and does exactly the same thing

the usb does not have an sd card slot way to expensive found other models on line with sd card slot for a lot lower price

this doesn't work when connected via usb to a mac, I think it needs like 65 watt power adapter or something to make it work, useless.

Two separate external hard drives are now inaccessible because they were”removed without closing” when neither were actually disconnected. They were continuously connected but declared not removed.

I was traveling in US for vacation and I forgot my Adapter so I went to Best buy to get a new one.. Is the worst Adapter, only USB3 port works USB C and HDMI wont work, as I was very far of the Store I opted for not returning, but for real, dont buy this.

Anyone could use more ports on their laptop, especially when you value smaller, thinner models with only one or two usb-c ports. I like the solid metal casing and braided cable; they give it a sense of rugged durability. Considering you may not always be using it on a desk, it may need to withstand dangling to the side while on the move. I like that it doesn't force you to choose between having extra ports and losing your charge port, so it includes a high power usb-c charge port. The 2 high speed usb-a 3.0 ports were so fast (up to 5Gbps), it felt as though my usb keys were embedded drives. I was able to successfully connect it with my Android phone and transfer data, but unable to use the HDMI port. On a laptop, the HDMI worked great, and I was able to screen cast onto a pico-projector with no issues or lag. I was even able to connect 2 usb thumb drives and transfer files between them at about 700-950Mbps which is real good and likely only limited by the second, slower thumb drive. If, like me, your laptop is small and thin with a scarcity of ports, then this hub will do the trick. It's small and slim enough to fit in your pocket with your keys or wallet. It's strong enough to take a hit when you're on local transit or anywhere that's not your desk. It has a good blend of diverse ports for most people's needs; the only thing really missing is a dedicated SD slot.

A great many laptops these days have only a certain number, and type, of plug-in ports for computer accessories. And ... not everyone prefers, or has, wireless devices. An item like this, can come in handy. I own many different types of Insignia brand items. Most of the time, the quality and performance of these items are on par with those of other brand names. By no means does this Insignia 4-port USB-C Hub seem "cheap" or of lesser quality. On the contrary, I'm actually liking it much better than the other USB hub I use with my gaming laptop (and that other hub cost twice as much as this Insignia one). The plug-in cable is nice and thick, and sheathed in a braided "woven" looking material; similar to what I've come to expect many of my gaming peripherals having. This Insignia's cable is flexible, unlike the cord on my other hub. The metallic exterior of the port itself has a smooth, matte surface, with a 'slightly curved' detail; instead of simply being flat on all sides. This likely has no bearing on how the hub performs, but it's one of those small details which gives a basic item like this, just a nice little something "different." What more can I say? But that this Insignia 4-port USB-C Hub just works as intended. There is an HDMI plug-in on the end, two USB 3.0 ports, and a USB-C input port. Plus, it's small, portable, and really well made.

if you have purchased a new laptop lately, especially one of the new very thin models, you have probably learned that in order to make these laptops super thin, something has to be left out. In most cases, these computers have a limited number of ports, leaving out some important ones lately, such as the HDMI port. The Insignia 4-port hub can turn one of your existing USB ports into multiple ports and do it while charging your PC. The Insignia hub comes equipped with one HDMI port that offers up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz. This will allow you to connect an external monitor or connect to a camera for presentations. Since I’ve been working from home full time now I’ve really learned to value my space for laptop accessories! I never even thought about this type of thing prior to working from home, but maximizing my space with what’s plugged into my computer, while maintaining charger battery has been a struggle! Enter this USB hub to save the day! I currently use this for my external monitor, keyboard and laptop charger. My mouse is Bluetooth so I’m fortunate that I don’t need to waste a USB port on that. I really like and appreciate the quality that went into this product. The cable is sturdy and braided, the hub itself is substantial but I wouldn’t call it heavy. It just feels well made. Only drawback so far for me has been that the USB-C port is for charging your device, not for plugging in another device. Not a deal breaker as I have USB-A to USB-C adapters already, and I could have simply bought a hub with more USB-C ports had I wanted them at the time. I use this everyday and cannot imagine not having it. Traveling with it is simple due to its compact size and it has really helped me to clear out my desk and be more organized.

This has almost everything I need and probably has everything most people need, for me the only thing that I could want more out of it an RJ45 jack; but it would either have to be larger or the RJ45 jack would be one of those ones with a moving part that is more likely to break; so I can understand why it was left off as also most people don’t need it. Now to why it’s everything I want for a majority of my work. The cord is fabric and well built, it feels like it can take a little bit of a beating, in fact the whole build is like that, the body is solid and I’m not afraid to just throw it in the bag. I love that it has power throughput (though it is power input only, it didn’t work for data for me) If you have USB C only and need to use it to plug into a docking station at work that has an old USB A connection, this works great for that as well. If fact that is the number one reason why I love it, I have an ergo mouse work bought me that is only wireless with a dongle and I need to plug into as well as a docking station, this solves the problem of me forgetting the mouse dongle as it just lives on this adapter now. Then at home I plug into my large monitor. Overall, it is solidly built while being thin and works perfectly all the time, I can’t ask for much more than that.
