Item was recommended by Geek Squad and was exactly what I needed to complete my new computer purchase.

Works well with laptop. May need to restart laptop when connecting a camera or mic to get the pc to recognize it.

I upgraded my 2015 era MacBook to a 2023 version. Naturally it doesn’t have a HDMI connection for external monitors and none of my legacy USB thumb drives, external hard drives, keyboards and pointing devices, phone chargers, etc. I will gradually transition from the legacy connections right after I move my VHS player out of my man cave :). Until then, this little hub is doing it nicely.

So far doing everything that we wanted it for Quality with reasonable price point will most likely be buying another one

I resent needing this USB-C hub, but modern laptops only seem to furnish USB-C, so if you're still working with an old USB-A device, you're out of luck without something like this. That said, it's HEAVY. A simple adapter might be better if all you need to plug in is a single device.

My husband and I were clueless about the 15-day return/exchange policy on most items (we thought it was 30 days), so when we approached the counter we didn't question whether or not we could return this item. To his credit, the customer service agent who handled the transaction didn't let it phase him, or even question us much. He just asked why we needed to return it, and we told him that the device wasn't compatible, as we previously thought. And we wanted to pick up another couple of items, so it was technically an exchange... but still, we were already outside of the 15-day window by 2 days. So, the agent called his co-worker over and they were both examining the receipt... my husband and I kind of exchanged questioning glances. Finally, the co-worker nodded his head and keyed in some info so that the agent we first approached could proceed with the exchange. Then the agent looks at us and calmly tells us that we're technically outside of the 15-day window, but that they're going to allow it, anyway. I was impressed because both of the guys didn't add any extra "energy" to the situation... they calmly assessed and moved forward, keeping things "light" and efficient. In a world where people seem to want to overcomplicate things, or don't know how to handle exchanges that could become "awkward" or uncomfortable, it was nice to see and be on the receiving end of such great service. We thanked both of the guys for their kindness, because they didn't have to allow the transaction, per policy. But I guess they did it because there wasn't any BS from our side, either, maybe. In any case, it was cool and we appreciated it. I wish I'd made a note of their names, but I know that can be figured out by referencing the order. Great Job! Thanks!!! :)

Great attachment for extra ports Convenient and necessary for additional components

This works better than I expected with my Thinkpad running Linux (Kubuntu 24.04) in that the HDMI video worked correctly. The USB-A ports worked fine for keyboard and mouse. An ethernet dongle I connected to the USB-C port was not recognized, but I blame Linux for that.

One thing that irritates me (for lack of a better word) is that Macs dont have a spot for an HDMI or USB cable. My partner bought the apple version but it only lets you put one of each in. I love that i have two USB spots so i can put a charger and for my phone and my calculator charger for school, or whatever else i may need!

Easy to use and adds UBS-C which I didn’t have. Helpful for me as my USB port on my computer doesn’t work.

This has been great, helping me connect my Mac to an Alienware monitor. The connection holds, the ports are tight and the picture is GORGEOUS. If you need more ports, then obviously I'd recommend something else, but if you're comfortable with the amount of ports on it, I think you will love this. For any PC with a USB-C port, this will work great for you!

[Employee of bestbuy] Great connectivity and no latency issues. It is on the smaller side for usb hubs but is still a little bulky for my liking but thats a bit nitpicky.

This usb c hub works very well with my MacBook and I haven’t had any issues with it

Works well, and seems sturdy. This is the cheapest hub I could find which met all my requirements. The only slightly bothersome thing: the cord is not long enough to allow the usb c connector to rotate independently. If you have your laptop setup vertically, this hub will rotate to become vertical as well, and all the wire will stick out upwards or downwards.. awkward either way.

Very useful gadget, works really well. It comes in handy and makes my work easier and tidy.
