I connect my wireless-no-longer printer and assorted other devices when needed.

This product will split the connection to traditional usb 3.0, without degradation of the signal (unless you're using beyond a 10ft cable out of this). It's good for a mouse or audio usb dongle.

It's small enough to be out of the way and helps me to keep the desk clutter down. And the best part is that it was not expensive at all.

What you need for type c to Regular usbs

Highly recommend if you have type c ports,also it has a beefy feel to it and can tell it's quality not crap.

Why pay more for a Hub?

This unit works just fine and costs 1/3 to 1/2 what other hubs cost. Most new computer use the USB C input, but most of my devices are USB 2, so this makes adding inputs easy.
