Less than a year old and we have to stand vigilant watch because the dial will stay stuck "on" and just keep toasting rather than completing a full revolution. We no longer have freedom from our toast making. Two stars for being inexpensive and still turning on at all.

Handle Fell Off After 7 Months

It took some time getting used to the dials and settings. It cooked food with no problems. After 7 months, the handle fell off. There’s no way to repair the handle. Now I have to buy a new toaster oven.

The door was also so hot. I could feel the heat around outside the oven. Not a good product. The heat should stay inside the oven, not outside. Not a good design, very dangerous. I used it once. That was it.

The housing is very thin, and the edge of the door caused a burn on the first use, likely because of the lack of any rim on the glass. Having said that, all appliances of this sort get hot and given the price-point, we could have lived with these design flaws EXCEPT that the toast function was horrible. Neither side of the bread toasted well, even with the darkness adjusted. Other buyers seem to have had better luck...If you can afford it at all, pick another brand. This item was returned within one hour and replaced with the Breville mini smart oven. It's almost exactly the same size and is 10x the quality.

You have to be careful and not have anything around it or touch the top when it is on. There is no light inside for you to see how toasted your food is. The price says it all, you get why you paid for.

I emailed twice to ask which set of dimensions was correct (there are two in the Q&A) and twice got a form letter with no useful answer. Gambled and bought it, only to find it had two HUGE dents in the top, as if some heavy package had fallen on it. And I suspect that it was a returned product, re-packaged. (Not to mention it was too big.) VERY disappointing in every way, although I did get my money back with no trouble. (btw, beware Black & Decker toaster ovens - the last 2 i had caught on fire.)

Upon our first use, my wife burned her hand attempting to remove the tray from the oven. Yes, she was using a pot holder. But guess what? NO handle is supplied to remove the tray. I would have given the toaster oven a zero star but no stars are shown as a selection. For some reason the manufacturer decided a handle wasn't necessary. Quite odd. Also the two coils are very close to the outer edges of the oven ceiling not radiating 100 % on the tray, thus taking more time to bake or broil.

plastic handle on door fell off due to the heat
