    I bought this as a replacement for the cord that came with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), because the cord that came with my phone started to split and had wires exposed. So far, this cord has done a great job. The only drawback is that it isn't as long as the cord supplied with my phone.

    I know the S5 has a really good battery. I like having a spare charger with me for the day it is going to run out of juice. I use my phone a lot at work. So now I have one for home & work. I did try linking my phone to my laptop. I hear the connection tone from the laptop but that's about as far as it goes with the cable. I can get a connection with my packaged cable that came with the phone but for some reason it didn't work with this.

    Cable works great. I bought this one to replace the one that came with an external hard drive that had connectivity issues only after of few months of use. This one is by far more rugged and it hasn't given me any trouble for almost a year. Only complaint is the price. Like most cables at big box stores they are unreasonably priced.

    I need to connect my new camera to my computer. I went to Best Buy, waved my hands, gave a unclear description, and was rewarded with a new cable. It works vwey well and I can now download pictures all thanks to Besy Buy and a very knowledgeable sales associate.
