The label on the box clearly states it is a "charging cable" and doesn't mention "sync" at all. It would not transfer date but it will charge my phone. I did try transfer with another better cable and it worked fine from the same ports.

Even if we leave our devices charging for hours, whenever we check the battery level, it is always at 5% or below. When I unplug our devices from these charges to find another charger, the phone immediately turns off.
