    Tried using this to connect to an external monitor from a laptop but it would not work. I am assuming this is only for charging and syncing small devices. Probably need a USB C cable that is thunderbolt compliant.

    The length (6ft) is good. The cable is stiff, which leads me to believe that fraying is in the future and hence not allowing the cable to last as long as it could or should.
