I just bought a car with Apple/Android Auto, which require the phone be plugged in. When testing it, I pulled out the cable I've been using for a year to charge my phone and plugged it in. It didn't work. So I ran down the street to Best Buy and bought this cable, just in case the problem was the cable. Sure enough, I learned that some cables are good enough to charge the phone but not good enough to carry the necessary data through. This one could handle the data.

Needed a replacement USB A to C cord for my S8. This is an ideal replacement as it 6 feet long and is very robust.

so... 10' is a lot. at the time of purchase the next smallest size available at the time was 4ft. Were it not an emergency at the time I would have probably waited until there was a 6' cord available. The 10' cable definitely is nice in certain situations but can be a bit much to handle and can easily be a tripping hazard if you don't properly stow your charging cable. I will say even with the length, it charges VERY quickly.

This 10' USB A to C cable meets the needs that I had for a cable longer than 6'. This only issue is that is rather stiff. Time will tell if it adds to durability or cracks went bending and storing.
