I searched extensively in the 32"-42" range for weeks before I bought this tv, and for the size, I didn't find a better price anywhere; buying open-box helped a lot too. I use the tv for my bedroom, wall-mounted (as recommended), and I find the size to be very satisfactory. It's very light and works well with my double-jointed swivel mount. I would personally recommend that you mount it lower than you might expect you would need to, and that you have someone assist you in doing so. I've been able to use it to project my computer screen (via hdmi input), play my Xbox One and play my Xbox 360 through the RBG cables. Overall, an excellent, versatile product.

I purchased this tv on black friday for $149.99. It was well worth the line. This tv has amazing graphics. I have it hooked up to my apple tv. Every should that I watch on it looks amazing. It looks better than my 42" Sharp.

We were looking for a nice T.V. to see for our Christmas party, in the garage ! We wanted a good T.V. but one that would last. Let's face it in the garage, well not going last too long (so I thought) but with the 40inch 1080p HDTV that we bought and at the price , Wow ! The price was so good we bought two, yes two ! Thanks Best Buy for the price so low !

I bought this TV for my boyfriend for Christmas. It took him 5 minutes to unbox and setup. It took me less to program his Direct TV remote to work with it. He's watched it every day for a month now and so far he seems to think it's a great TV. He watches a lot of sports. The picture and sound play well. The frame is thin so there's no glare from it.

This had a great price! Needed a simple TV with good picture and sound for my Mom. This fit perfectly, she had a old 27" tube TV, for her this is a giant leap forward.

I bought this tv for my bedroom and it works great with casting movies and YouTube videos to my chromecast that I have hooked up to it. Also very good tv for video games comes in 1080p HD picture I love it!

I purchased this television for my teenaged sons bedroom. He uses it for gaming mostly and with a few setting adjustments the picture is perfect. Crisp colors and fluid picture movement. Lightweight as well, was able to use the same wall mount from the 32 in. this tv replaced. Nice sound quality as well. 5 stars for the price.

Don't get me wrong, not that you couldn't use it as your main home theater TV it just isn't the absolute best picture quality compared to other name brands. BUT, those name brands are also more than double the price of this amazing deal. I currently use it as a third computer monitor/game TV for my room and like I said, it isn't going to win any awards, but there's also nothing to complain about it, it's just a simple 1080p HDTV with practically no input lag and not bad sounding speakers that makes gaming soooo much easier on the eyes.

I purchased this strictly for gaming. Although it may occasionally serve purpose for a little Antenna TV. The reason I decided on this, was the size fit perfectly, and the 60hz refresh for gaming is optimal. (120hz and higher are post-processed causing lag from PC gaming). I connect my PC, XBox One, XBox 360 and Chromecast to this display and it works great. It's primary use is Xbox one gaming. The image is clear, and required only minimal tweaking. It seems very fluid, and looks good even when viewed from 3-4 ft (I sit close). Of course there are some jaggies because of the 1080 max resolution, but that's only noticeable because of my preferred distance. This suits me perfect for the purpose I got it. I also have a 58" Panasonic S1 Plasma, and I love it in the living room..but couldn't justify the cost for another similar model as a secondary.

This. Is. A. Great. Buy. At $160, you can't do better. Regarding the 1-star reviews of this product: 19% actually meant to give it 5 stars, and another 70% are complaining about shipping or things that have nothing to do with the TV itself. It's not going to wow you with the picture quality. But you will not notice any problems with it. It's a 1080p 60 Hz HDTV. There is nothing that makes the picture stand out from the competition. You are buying this product because it is by far the best value under Best Buy's current pre-Black Friday promotion. It's a good picture in the sense that it gives you exactly what you expect from a TV with these specs. Setup was fairly easy, the menu is SUPER fast and responsive, and the audio honestly isn't that bad, though you will absolutely want to manually customize both the video and audio settings to your liking. It sounds and looks 9 years older than it is until you do that. Then it's fine. Only complaint is the lack of HDMI inputs with only 2 available (probably one of the reasons they are essentially giving this TV away), but nowadays you can buy an HDMI splitter for what, another $12? You're buying this TV. You're probably buying several of this TV.

I ordered this on Tuesday evening, and received it Friday evening, with free shipping. I was wary about buying a large screen tv online, but it came with no damage. The remote came with batteries, and the stand went together easily. I read a lot online, before I got it, about black Friday tv's being poor quality, and stripped down models. This tv is also 60hz, vs the "better" 120hz. All I can say, is this this has the most stunning picture I've ever seen, besides thousand plus dollar tv's. It looks incredible all all angles. Also, the speakers are very clear and loud. I won't even think about adding a sound bar.

Wanted a TV for my new place but did not want to spend a lot because I had other necessities to buy as well. Saw some black friday TV deals but they were bad TV brands with low ratings. Saw the 49" Toshiba bf deal from Best Buy but it was in-store only and I really didn't want to wait in line for hours in the cold (have seen people camp out few days before...definitely not going to do that), only to find out there were only a few TVs in store and I could end up without a TV after all that hassle. Saw this early bf deal for $159.99, read overall positive reviews, decided to take a chance. Good thing I got it because the deal was sold out the next day! It shipped pretty quickly and I tested it out today. So far, so good! Picture and sound quality is nice and it is a good size for my living room. Might be a bit small for large living rooms. Obviously, don't compare picture quality to higher-end TVs but the quality on this is pretty good. I didn't have any issues with the sound - I thought it was good. Love that the actual screen is 40" in diameter (and not including the frame like most other TVs). Don't know how it will hold up over time, hopefully it will last for years. Overall, love the TV especially for the price and I am glad I got it. No lines, free quick shipping, great price! Good basic TV, good size, good picture and audio quality. Has enough ports for me (all I connect it to is an antenna, a Wii console, and occasionally a laptop) and even has a USB port! Can't wait to attach the base, get a TV stand and watch it in my new place! Attached some pictures but it does not reflect picture quality (actual quality is a lot better) - my phone just takes bad pictures.
