This tv was super low priced. It incredibly had the right screws for mounting it to my wall mount tv bracket. No other tv has ever had those included for free. Setup was a breeze, quality is awesome.

GREAT DEAL FOR A GREAT PRICE. EASY SET UP. PICTURE AND SOUND ARE GOOD. I HADN'T NOTICED IT WASN'T A "SMART" TV AND I WATCH A LOT OF PBS AND AMAZON PRIME BUT KINDLE STICK FIXES THAT. (I AM AN OLD BAT AND HAD ASSUMED ALL NEW SETS WERE SMART.] BUT TV IS CRISP AND CLEAR AND MENU CONTROLS ARE CONVENIENT AND EASY TO USE. DELIVERED WHEN PROMISED. BEST BUY WAS EFFICIENT AND PLEASANT.

Easy to use features, great picture. Quick set up. I have owned several Insignia TVs now and have 3 of them for multiple years without a single issue. Great product for the price.

Works well. The remote is laid out a bit poorly. Nice up down left right in middle of unit, but does not change channels,or volume, they are in a lower hard to reach area. my biggest gripe is it is what I refer to as a "dumb" tuner. With the digital tuner channels are number + point + number, like 4.1. My other TV's and set top converter boxes let me just punch in the 4 and will go to 4.1, and if I need to, channel up to 4.2 etc. This unit will go blank for a second then stay on the same channel I was on. Kinda a pain. The sound is better than our 55" RCA. Picture is good. Have not watched a lot, it is not our main TV.

This TV is great with Xbox one, roku box, and when using with a cable box. I purchased this TV due to the fact it is really hard to see the TV Guide when my glasses is not on. For those who wear glasses know it can be a pain in the rearend trying to watch TV before you go to sleep... close caption font is big enough for me to read with and without my glasses. The color is bright enough and does not hurt my eyes If I watch it too long. And the volume is very loud at only 2....the TV is very light so it is easy to move.. have not tried the wall mount as of yet but when I do I will write more to the review.

I waited in line for 1 1/2 hrs to grab up a great TV buy on Thanksgiving Day and I am not disappointed. I have a 32" Insignia that I brought from Best Buy in 2009 and it's been a great product so when I couldn't get the 48" Toshiba, this 40" Insignia made for a great substitution. The price was just $10 bucks more and that alone was a bargain. My experience with Insignia has been positive so I'm loving my new TV and it looks so great in the Living room...

Love this tv. Great size, sound, and screen. If it wasn't for the refresh rate this would be the perfect tv for some one who does not care about having a smart tv.

I had been looking for a bigger television for my bedroom. I had a 26" Insignia in it and wanted something that would fit on my wall. I looked at another Insignia since I have multiple tv's in my house that are this brand. As usual, this tv does not disappoint. The picture is very brilliant on HD channels and the sound is more than enough for my bedroom. The tv is not that heavy compared to other brands of the same size and it easily fit on a standard tv wall mount and that is where it resides now. I will be buing more of these fabulous tv's when I decide to get a bigger one in my living room.

Can't beat it. Great bang for the buck. Picture is great, sound quality is good for a bedroom. Easy to hang on the wall. Just wish it had one more HDMI port.

I can't really complain about a 40" LED 1080p HDTV for only $159 on Black Friday! I feel like it's a great TV all around and worth the regular price. The picture is fair for SD content, but the true HD content looks great. I think it's an inherent problem with LED/LCD screens and I am spoiled by my Samsung 42" plasma screen (720p). I love my plasma! I do wish switching between cable and the HDMI ports were a little easier from the remote, but like I said, it's hard to complain about too much considering what I paid. I am satisfies overall and would buy it again.

I've never owned an Insignia TV before and was unsure about this purchase because I didn't have any experience with the brand. I needed something that didn't break the bank but still looked like it wasn't cheap. I'm happy to say I was very pleasantly surprised with this product, it has a very clear and sharp picture and very good color with deep blacks. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking for a good value.

We got this TV to place in a room for excising videos and our Xbox 360. The Insignia technology has come very far over the years. We used to have one of the original Insignia brand bluray players and it was not the best product at the time. The brand line has evolved over the years and this TV is a great example of keeping up with the quality of competing brands. Highly recommended this TV with a great price point.

For the price, it's tough to beat. While it's lacking smart features, most people plug in a AppleTV, FireTV or Roku. I personally plugged in a AppleTV which is far better experience then whatever smart tech you'd pay more for built into the TV. I use this in the bedroom, and the speakers on it are pretty good. Not going to blast you away, but far better then what most TV's this price range have. Picture quality is good! Wall mount was easy to attach, standard VESA mount. Only slight draw back I gave this TV, which i'll say most TVs have is a annoying red LED light that is on when the TV is off. It's pretty bright and noticeable in the bedroom at night. A lot of TVs are like this now. Not sure why they do that. Almost like the TV is warning you "I'm turned off! I should be on!".

Good pictures with crisp resolution. Price is really good, especially since it was a Black Friday special when I purchased it! Could use some improvement with features, such as enlarging the text size on the on-screen display (channel, program title, program description, etc.), increasing the amount of time it's displayed before automatically clearing, being able to manually select a channel in spite of auto-scan not detecting it, and so on, but will manage sufficiently for the price, screen size, and picture quality.

I've purchased this TV twice now because it is a such a great deal and provides such quality picture and sound. I originally bought the 39" version of this TV in 2014, but when moving across country I needed room in my car and gifted that TV to my parents for their bedroom. I thought about going with a bigger brand when buying again, but you cannot beat the price and quality of this TV. In my house we use this TV for television, movies, and very casual gaming. It's most often used to watch Netflix through Chromecast. The sound quality is also great. I have rarely turned the volume past 8 and it is more than sufficient for everyone in the room. I actually listen to the TV on 4 most of the time when I'm home alone. The only aspect of the 2014 model I liked better was that the USB and HDMI placement were closer together, which was nice for the Chromecast. I can still use it without needing the external power source, but the distance between the two ports is a stretch. If you're looking for a good quality casual TV (without the bells and 4K whistles) this is a must buy.

Insignia TV design adds the finishing touches to my bedroom. The images are crisp & defined. The sound from the speakers makes watching my favorite TV shows and movies enjoyable. Installation was very simple and in minutes I was enjoying this quality TV. The final feature that I would like to share with you is the remote control. It glows in the dark after turning off the TV unit making it easier to locate it in the dark. This was a great buy and will buy again.
