This was a gift from my son- a tv to replace the old tube tv in my bedroom. Picture is great and sound is good. my only complaint is there is no on/off button on the tv. You have to use the remote. That can be a little inconvenient but otherwise, it's a great tv

I purchased this tv to replace an old 36" dinosaur tv that I had for many years. I was on sale for a very good price, under $400.00, so I took a chance. It was the best purchase I ever made for a tv. It has good sound quality and a very nice picture.

Bought this TV to fit in my room. It fits and honestly is fine for the room and the color is good as well. it's not my main tv, but I'd recommend to buy if you want an inexpensive TV. I don't use it to watch sports so I wasn't looking for high performance.

We purchased this for my daughters bedroom and its the perfect size and the volume works really great as well for the room size. We tell her to only turn it up to a 4-5 max and its still loud enough to drown out other room noise and her to hear her show.

Bought 2 of these. Simply couldn't beat the price. Didn't need the extras a smart TV would bring. Not using for 4K anything so these were just perfect. The picture is perfect, the sound is also very good for built in speakers. haven't had to go past 11.

Set up was simple. The remote is easy to use. The picture quality is EXCELLENT! Amazingly, this TV cost me LESS than the 19" RCA TV I purchased 45 years ago! If you're on the fence about this Insignia 40", don't be. just buy it. You won't regret it!

I picked up this TV on sale. For the screen size and the definition it seemed like a great deal. I haven't regretted this decision. I do wish it was a smart TV, my previous TV was, but besides that there is nothing for me to complain about.

I wanted something to use in my extra bedroom, a TV for company spending the night . Something the grand children can watch cartoons on. Plus I work from home, it allows me to throw a full size set of drawing on it and see them clearly .

Better product than the smartv I has less than 5 months. Each time I have purchased an Insignia Tv I've had it for over 5 years. This confirms reliability, the audio sounds good and the picture quality is really good. Overall satisfied!

I purchased this TV for my son for Christmas and he couldn't be happier with it. Great size for his room and he mostly uses it for gaming and the picture is crisp and clear. Very happy with this purchase, great quality at a great price!

Hubby just wanted to replace our 42 inch Plasma that finally went after 12 years, in his man cave. He didn't need it to be a smart TV so this was perfect for the size and value we were looking to spend. Plus I got 2% back from Ibotta!

We bought this TV for the garage so I could use it when working out. We didn't want to spend a lot of money (it's in the garage, after all!). It's the perfect size and has a nice pictures. We had another insignia TV we bought years ago that we had great luck with, so we didn't have any issues choosing them again.

Great TV that was a very reasonable price. While I would not use it as a primary TV it is great for guest bedroom or secondary viewing area. Picture is slightly fuzzy with color that isnt as vibrant as more expensive options.

Good value for the price. Picture looks great and sound is decent. I am using this in a master bedroom. Lightweight and easy to install!

I read all the reviews and thought it was worth purchasing...but I was wrong. My bought it to upgrade from the 32in TV I had in my bedroom which was connected to my Dish network receiver in the living room downstairs. When I hooked the TV up via my coaxial cable cord the picture was awful....I called dish and they it was because of the secondary line being ran off the one box I wasnt going to get HD viewing. I thought that was odd because my 32in which was Emerson gave me a great HD picture. It was the Insignia tv causing the viewing quality. I returned this tv and bought an LG...my picture is crystal clear, vibrant and in full Hd.

The TV picture has great quality, bought this for my father in law and loves it, only reason not 5 stars is bc of the sound but like most new tv's the sound quality isn't the greatest need sound bar or surround sound system

We have a Samsung 4K TV in our living room but needed a nice TV in the extra TV room for the kids. Not nearly the picture on the Samsung but a fraction of the price with a very nice picture. Perfect for our purpose.

I just recently purchased the TV. I haven't quite figured it out yet but the picture and sound is excellent it was definitely a great price for the four for 40 inch TV.. I will recommend a friend to purchase this as well.

The color and clarity are nice. Got this for my son's dorm room. It's a good size and is light enough to move around easily
