We love this TV for our bedroom! The picture is great and the sound projects well. We bought this exact TV for our son last year. When we needed a new bedroom TV we decided to buy another one. We have had no problems at all out of either TV. Both are fantastic! If you are looking for a budget friendly tv, this is the one to get!

Basic TV (Not Smart/4K/UHD/HDR), woks as expected for the sub $200 price point (On sale). Has a good picture and adequate sound. Buttons on the remote glow in the dark. Bought this for my son to get his X-Box out of the living room, I put it on Game mode and haven't touched any other settings, he seems to be happy with it.

Bought two of these to use as conference area monitors in a large open office. These work well for this propose. Not sure how well they actually work as televisions due to resolution but for a monitor the resolution is great. Easy to set up since they don't have smart technology. Good size and light weight.

We were hunting for a deal and found it in this Insignia TV, which we first saw in store, had never heard of before and loved the store sample. Picture and sound are really good. 40 inch is just right for our bedroom. Just wanted a nice basic TV that did NOT require a Smart connection. Would buy again!

Great flat screen for the price. Picture & sound are very good. The only reason I would not give it the full 5 stars is because when changing from an HD channel to a 'regular' channel the TV takes a couple of seconds to respond & sometimes gives a missing signal message before showing the picture.

TV's, throw a stone and you'll hit 10,000 reviews for them. So this review is a little different because we bought this TV to install in our camper which bounces down the highway at 70mph. Like many LED TV's this has a good picture for the money, good sound, ready for cable/sat, HDMI inputs, etc. Now it's construction, well they put this thing together pretty good. It has done well in our camper, so, your thinking so it's inside. Nope this is mounted in the garage of our camper on the wall. It sees temperature shifts from very cold to very hot when the camper is in storage and still works. If anyone owns a camper you know it is a moving earthquake going down the road and this TV is still working. We had bought another model and it lasted 1 week of traveling. I thought for the money if it didn't last oh well. To our surprise this is really good and well built. Any RV'rs out there and in need of a replacement TV check out this brand, we've had good luck.

Insignia brand has always treated me well, so this Christmas, I gave my daughter this tv for her new apt. Not too big, but big enough. The standard 2 yr warranty that Best Buy gives you is the peace of mind that seals the deal.

The picture quality is pretty good. And not as expensive as the fancy tech tvs out there nowadays. The sound is great too, my old tv's sound was weird (the voices were always too low even if you had the volume in the 70's and any action scenes were always WAY too loud at that point!)

Amazing for the price the picture quality. I bought this as a second TV for my RV. I didn't want to spend a lot so price was a factor when purchasing. But the quality is as good or better than other more expensive models. Time will tell if it lasts long enough to be exceptional.

This is my first time buying a tv and being in an unfurnished apartment so I wanted a tv that was big enough to fit and was cheap, but still had a good picture and this one was perfect. I decided not to get a smart tv since I have a PS3 and did not see the need for it.

I purchased this to replace my old 19in Insignia that I've had since college. While it still works, I wanted something bigger that would allow me to read words and descriptions when they were visible instead of squinting. I love my new TV and so far have no complaints!

Picked this up today for $199.00 and spent the first 3 hours screwing around with every possible setting (very limited settings and no color driver controls at all). Viewing angle is the worst I have ever seen, whites are pinkish and multi-colored, blacks have that weird negative, reflective ghosting look and everything dark falls off into oblivion with no details visible. VERY disappointing. This TV screen also has that weird look when solid color areas or transitions, especially grays and whites appear to be made of many other colors, not just one. I had a computer monitor that did this about ten years ago. This is old technology (maybe TN) and most certainly not IPS or other newer tech. When I look at white areas I don't expect to see whisps of reds, greens, blues, etc mixed in there. Next, off-axis viewing is so bad it looks almost as if it becomes reflective. To check this out more, I switched to an unused input so I could see a uniform black (dark grey) screen. I sat 6 feet away and leaned my head left and right. The only place you see absolute black is dead center vertical and horizontal. However, even sitting in one spot, dead center, 6 feet away, the left and right screen edges were already noticeably lighter (see attached photo). Moving farther right or left (and up and down) the screen actually looks washed out and purple or magenta... CRAZY!!! I cannot handle it. I am returning this horrific thing tomorrow morning. Best Buy should consider throwing these in the trash instead of reducing the price!!!! So, in conclusion, I cannot recommend this TV to anyone at any price!

We moved into a bigger place & needed another tv for a extra room. This was a perfect priced tv!! Don’t let the brand fool you, nor the price! It’s totally worth it, it’s been nearly been 3 years later & I sure don’t regret making this purchase!!
