Unit failed after a week. 400 watt ps running an amd quad core, ssd, GeForce 750ti. Probably on the border of being enough power but it still only lasted a couple days. Take from that what you will.

This power supply shows 400W. But if you look close that is max rated it's really only 300w running watts. Luckily I was still able to use it. Other than that no trouble with the product.

Seem to work ok, but twice in the last week, my computer has shut down without warning, I think it is due to the power supply,

    Back In Action

The rig I built about 2 years ago was using a 400W Diablotek PSU. It worked perfectly. About a month ago it started randomly making a weird grinding noise if you will. I pretty much knew it was the PSU starting to fail but I ignored it, and I kept using the computer. Last night I decided to shut down the computer as I normally leave it on but it was making the noise and I was trying to sleep. About an hour and a half ago I went to turn on the computer, and it wouldn't power on. I said to myself there she blows. It finally gave out. I've been fixing, and building computers since I was 9. I would like to start my own repair shop. I quickly went on my phone, and started checking websites to stores in my area. The Diablotek cost me $18.99. A very basic PSU. All I need is SATA cables, a few molex,, etc. That's what made the Diablotek so perfect for this rig. Walmart had a nice selection online of some cheap PSUs but when I got to the store they didn't have a single one in stock in the store which is typical. I then went to BB, and they only had ONE PSU on the shelf which was this one that I saw online that was perfect for what I needed. It was meant to be. I grabbed it, paid for it, and drove home. I opened my case, pulled out the old one, installed the new one all within 15 minutes, and she powered right on with ease. The wiring on this PSU is better quality than the old one. It's wrapped in a nice coating to protect the cables which is nice. It's also extremely quiet. 2 to 2.5 years out of a $19 PSU is definitely worth the money. The computer is always on so that's a lot of work for the PSU so I'm not upset over it. Twice a year I strip down my case, and I clean everything out. I clean the fans, I blow out the dust. Sometimes I'll even apply new thermal paste to my CPU, and sometimes I'll even take apart my video card, and do the same. I take good care of my computer. If you need a basic ATX / Micro ATX PSU then this will work just fine. 400w is plenty for this rig even with the 4 120mm LED fans I have. This little $450 rig is a BEAST. I have 1 SSD for my OS, and 2 storage drives for everything else. I've only had this PSU in for just about an hour but I'm please so far. I can't be without a computer. I would be extremely bored. Thanks Insignia.

After the power went out for 3 hours on NY's Eve, my PC wouldn't start. I took a chance and purchased this inexpensive power supply. Easy swap out and did the trick.
